  1. Yellow wheels. What is a perspective owner, is that someone who looks at things from a different angle.
  2. You couldn't have broken down in a better place, the man you seek is Smaky and he will no doubt be along later to help. I think he's at the Swindon meeting this evening so he may not be on till later if at all today. P.S. Welcome to AlfaDriver.
  3. I'm interested, but will have to see nearer the time what my financial and car status is, don't really see my 156 as a show car, more a workhorse, but if the 166 is on the road I will be a lot more interested.
  4. Yep, phone bill payed. They were about getting my 166 back on the road.
  5. Yep. contacted someone who was breaking a 166 and fortunately my paypal account was healthy enough to cover it. P.S. Smaky did you get my texts ?
  6. Some wanker has ripped the grill off my 166, so now I need a new one but can't find one anywhere. Can anyone help point me in the right direction.
  7. He deserves one and Ben Spies is not really earning his place this year, which is a shame because he's a great rider too, although Ducati has been mentioned.
  8. The front of my stereo lives in the drivers door, I don't usually have music on, but when I do its Radio 2 and that isn't what everyone else wants so its easier to just not bother .
  9. Big for Cal Crutchlow, what a star.
  10. Do you still have the ICS & Sat nav, if so how much you looking for?
  11. Cool. All I need now it to get a job and get my 166 back on the road.
  12. An update, in the last few days my engine has changed again. Ever since I've had the car when I start it the pre-heat light, the one that looks like a pube, has flashed for about 8 times, it doesn't do that now. The engine has always made a nice growling sound between 2K & 2.5K rpm, it doesn't do that now. The EML would still come ON if I used full throttle for too long, it doesn't do that now. The engine sounds different, making a sound that could be something blowing or sucking, but not too loud. What it does do mostly though is rev more freely, there is not the real surge between 2K & 3K revs but a more linear power delivery that doesn't really tail off until 4,750rpm. I've no idea why its doing this and don't know if its a good or bad thing.
  13. I went last year and its OK if you haven't been to Beaulieu for a while or before, but there's not enough there to occupy a full day especially if the weather is bad. My current situation means this is off the cards for me.
  14. Ok, but only if its warm, otherwise I will need to wear clothes.
  15. In addition to the discount, there will be fast-track access for advance ticket holders in Italian cars via the Campbell Gate off Brooklands Road. Parking for visitors in non-Italian cars will be in The Heights off Wellington Way - please follow event signage. http://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/index.p ... talia-day/
  16. Adults £12 in advance £14 on the gate Children £5 advance £6 on the gate.
  17. Ooh I've been there for the last two... Must have seen you... But missed you... I'm easily missed. Should be going this year, hopefully in my 166 (funds permitting) but more likely in my 156 so had better get my polisher out, black cars are a pig to keep clean but look great when they are.
  18. Me too, been there for the last 4 years.
  19. About this time last year I bought a 51 plate 156 2.4 SW for £900, so not out of budget and a great car. I've driven an A4 S-Line Diesel and it was bloody awful, uncomfortable, uninvolved and common as muck, but then I find all the VAG cars I've driven to be like that.
  20. I got the Senna movie for my birthday in Oct and still haven't watched it, I do cry easily at stuff and haven't felt mentally ready to deal with it yet. That may seem a bit strange but I know my mind.
  21. The new front ends are minging. Not sure I'm going to bother with F1 this year, the BBC commentators are not to my liking plus they will only show 10 races live and there is no way I'm paying for Sky sports just for F1. Seems it will be BSB, WSB and MotoGP for me.
  22. Just looked at it on route planner 80 miles for me, although the thought of going that far in Wales bring me out in a cold sweat. So I could do it for £25 in a diseasel or about £333,567 in my V6 plus you have to pay to get into Wales. If I get paid and the wind is in the right direction I may possible come, don't want to overcommit myself
