Sphinx 7 Report post Posted February 21, 2012 Seems that large petrol engined automatic cars are on the cheap...I wonder why... http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ogcode=flp http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p Have a look at this: http://www.scotsman.com/news/politics/p ... _1_2128201 Good news if you're in the market for a secondhand luxo-barge, bad news if you're trying to sell one. PS: That Rover 75 V6 Auto you spotted looks bang-tidy for £970, Sphinx. I'd take the Jag personally...
Morgan 46 Report post Posted February 23, 2012 I'd take the Jag personally... A Jag that old, at that price/mileage will be a tired old bag of bolts.
Anjenha 44 Report post Posted February 25, 2012 I'm really not a fast driver, so it doesn't really matter how fast it can go (as long as it will do 80/90 on the motorway!) It'll certainly do that. I'm far more keen on cars that go faster than they look. "Q cars", if you will. I like a car that looks pretty or mean. If it isn't beautiful, and doesn't look like it will rip your tiny panties off with its teeth, I'm not interested.

Vard66 1 Report post Posted March 3, 2012 http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2711125.htm Murrrrrr.... One or two omissions, namely the wrong interior and the lack of an Mi16, but still, WANT. Also, not exactly cheap really, but c'mon, there's got to be some 309 lovers on here? *Edit* http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1990-H-PEUGEO ... 3f147491eb Hnnnnnnnnnngggggghhhhhh..... Morgan 46 Report post Posted March 5, 2012 Ah, the 309 GTi, massively underrated big brother to the sainted 205 GTi. And we all know what "massively underrated" means... Cheap, cheap, cheap. That red one looks cracking, Vard.
Morgan 46 Report post Posted March 5, 2012 Have a look at this for VFM... 2002 (52) MG ZT-T 180+ 2.5 V6 Auto £990!!! Jesus, that's cheap! Full advert here: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... 0454168123

That red one looks cracking, Vard. Doesn't it just. Gawrsch. At that price, the ZT is likely to need the belt doing, and good luck finding someone who'll do a belt on a KV6 for less than about 1500 odd.

Vard66 1 Report post Posted March 6, 2012 No, doable in situ, just very awkward, and requires expensive specialist tools to lock it.

Morgan 46 Report post Posted March 23, 2012 Need to carry a lot of stuff around, for what it would cost to hire a van for a few days? Then you'll want one of these: 1997 Mondeo 2.0i GLX estate £500 buys you a lot of nice-driving space. Looks tidy inside, too. Morgan 46 Report post Posted March 23, 2012 With the promise of good weather on the cards, this must be one of the cheapest ways of getting into open-air motoring... Peugeot 306 1.8i Special Edition cabriolet Needs a bit of TLC to the bodywork, but for £500, you can't argue with the value. Morgan 46 Report post Posted April 6, 2012 Driven past a garage in watford & they got this for sale http://www.watfordmotorco.co.uk/used-ca ... 2458998798 Er, LJ, I'm not entirely sure you've understood the point of this thread... ... The motor you've linked to is a 12-year old Bimmer for £4k. That's not "temptingly cheap". It's more on the "quite expensive" side.
LJ_GQV 115 Report post Posted April 6, 2012 What i meant to say was, temptingly cheap as soon as someone buys it & loses lots of money on it
