jhc 28 Report post Posted September 30, 2011 thats the age to go for, remarkably cheap and so much car for the money. Same with the 7's. 2k will get you a 750il (300bhp v12, long wheelbase) with sat nav, tv, dvd, all the trimmings.

milowokie 13 Report post Posted October 2, 2011 Back on the old Auto Union/NSU cars, how about an early 90s AUDI V8? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi_V8 Just about rare enough to avoid other AUDI related cockish-ness.
Rrascal 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2012 E32 740 gave 6.7 mpg if you kept your foot nailed when you weren't braking... Best I got was 29.9 mpg.
Morgan 46 Report post Posted January 17, 2012 e39 540. LS400. 7 series. A8. Yes, yes, yes, and yes (in that order). Putting aside my general dislike of agreeing with munky, those are all fine choices (and are stupidly cheap these days). You're probably looking at an auto though, unless you can find an E39 540 with a manual 'box. Mmmm, big powerful cars with slushers.
