According to Smaky, Suds are rust buckets and 75s are impossible to get parts for. :(

But I love a challenge. :)

Went over today to look at the sud, it all seemed very straight and tidy, there are a few rust issues, front wing, below the windscreen and nearside rear wheel arch were the main ones.

Its a variety of shades of red.

Engine sounds  and its lovely to drive.

Yeah you got to watch the rust it would need sorting straight away properly.

They are great fun to drive proper little go carts.

Sounds like it could get expensive if the windscreen scuttle is going though.

Would need to get a expert to look it over and give you an estimate to be safe.

Having said that it is thirty years old . So at least you should get free road tax. And classic insurance.

Yep the rust and poor paint are putting me off.

Not Tax free, it used to be over 25 year old cars, but labour put a stop to that in 1997, party of the working man and all that bollocks

To get free Tax it has to be 1973 or earlier. :(, tax on the sud is £135 a year.

That looks like a money pit :(

This is a bad colour but an interesting car

That doesn't look right to me the colours wrong and it should have a side stripe I think with trofeo on the back wing.

You'd have to check .

If you want something like that it needs to be original or re done to original spec really.

does say it was originally silver and has a plate on the dash that says No 184.

Not even sure that's an alfa colour unless it's the green they used on the spider circa 1977/80 ? Don't understand why you would do that but there you go?

That other one is a bit of a mess but that's a rare one and probably worth £25,000+ when done and it's beautiful shape.

I think patience is my key here, wait until I see the right car at the right price.

will also have to see the outcome of the insurance from the 166.

Yes that is definetly the way to do things.

You will know it when you see it.

Have you heard anything from the garage yet as what happened to the nut.

I feel I must correct my reference to the Megane as "not too bad"

Drove it to work today on slightly wet roads and I felt nervous in it, it just didn't feel planted like an Alfa is and it didn't let me know what was going on, its the first time I've driven and felt it was a chore. My accident has made me a bit more edgy but not nervous.

The sud gave me more confidence even though I had never driven it before and my shoes were too fat for the pedals, kept catching the brake when I depressed the clutch.
