  2. Hi Smaky as ive got the heads in bits on the dinning room table is there anything I can do with my Dremmel to improve the Inlet /outlet in the way of slight porting at all . If so what would you recommend. I've thought after looking at it that maybe marring up the inlet plate and the ports in the head as in matching the holes as theren is quite a difference between the two diameters the plate having a much smaller hole than the inlet on the head. Would really like your input Cheers. THe exhaust port on the head is smaller than the diameter of the inside of the gasket too.
  3. you're not saving anything by not changing it if as Smaky says it's on its way out you'll end up stuck if it won't start . these are not that expensive and not terrible to change.
  4. Could be any number of things driving style sticking brakes injectors air filter etc....Does your car have a MAF and when was it changed? inlet air leak?

Right finally bit the bullet and decided I just cant afford to fix this , 108,000 miles currently Taxed and Tested engine appart so not driveable as Just had the heads off.They are good just been pressure tested and had a light reface. can be bought as a Whole or parts. Please contact me if you are interested. Recent rad new thermostat in the box injector service kit, valve grinding paste.new boxed w/pump cambelt.New boxed front wheel bearings. the tensioner was done 5000 miles ago . heated electric leather all engine mounts replaced 3000 miles ago recent new air idle control valve. pair of new rear radius arms (not fitted). exellent future classic project. Sensible offers considered

  9. Hi can anyone Tell me what the fitting size( thread and pipe ) is on the oil cooler on my 164 please think I've found a cooler but have no idea how to check the size of the fittings as they are all AN 10 - 12 etc.... Cheers.
  10. Yes but if you look at the pics of the black one thats had the conversion it doesn't look as good as those do.

  12. Hi Smaky have just ordered from Alfa I'm getting a pack of 5 as thats how they come so should you need one in the future let me know and I'll stick it in the mail Couldn't find them in this size in the UK only USA or through the dealer so may come in handy .
  13. Hi don't suppose any body has got one of these M12 x 1.5 (18-20mm long) blanking grub screw floating around somewhere for my oil channel. PLEASE :Black Eye: No it's not a very short wheel bolt
