New seasons testing under way in Sepang at long last Stoner out all guns blazing again topping the 2nd day's timing sheets... 2..Spies 3..Lorenzo 4..Pedrosa 5..Crutchlow 6.. Barbera 7..Rossi 8..Bautista 9..Dovizioso 10..Hayden Great to see Cal up at the sharp end and out performing his team mate Dovi.. Rossi just under a second behind Stoner, better but no cigar yet..

What a dumb shit for brains am I ... Bloody light bulb holders had fallen out of the lenses so all they were lighting up was the engine bay The holders seem to fit where they touch Panic over though

Good thinking there and can understand the logic, but that means the HUD can't be used again ...

Well it's now't to do with the HUD, so looks like a trip to the dealer unfortunately... That should be interesting again ...

OK mate I'll try the HUD route 1st as it's a recent addition and a recent problem with the lights. Will unplug it in the morning when I go to work.. Will let you know, thanks for your help

Thanks matey, problem is I got the car used but not from an official AR dealer so only got the 2 yr warranty...And I've had problems with CV's Nottingham before. Basically they told me to naff off cos I didn't get it from an AR dealer. Just had a thought though could it be something to do with the HUD I've fitted as that is plugged into the OBD socket If I need to get it done I'll probably use an Indie( AFH 1 )in Mansfield, do you think they'll be able to sort it ? Smakey..Any idea what may be causing this problem with the headlights on my mito When I put the headlights on, the beam is really dull and does not project any light onto the road.. In contrast if I switch to DRL's they are a lot brighter than they are usually but no dashboard lights. I drive around with the front fogs on now to be able to see where I'm going till I can get them checked. PS The main beam works perfectly Cheers

Iv'e been trying to get a new bespoke exhaust for the MiTo... E-mailed several suppliers etc and not got very far, in fact not even a bloody reply I'm trying to get a twin outlet job, not just a twin tailpipe but another oval outlet to the right hand side for aesthetics.. Had a word with my local indie Alfa workshop and he reckoned he could get a mate to cut a hole in the rear box and graft another pipe to it with another oval tailpiece attached... Now here's the rub... I have reservations as to whether it will have a diverse effect regarding back pressure,resonance etc that may affect performance by cutting into the box as such. My mode of thinking apart from a dummy tailpiece would be to graft a pipe to the actual rear pipe and not the box Any thoughts or advice ?

Even our Gert loves it and she's blind as a bat Got it set to the bottom right of the windscreen so it don't interfere with vision but you can see it out the corner of your eye without looking at the speedo/taking your eyes off the road. Going to the dance at the weekend so if you want a look feel free

F****** still no idea how you do that but try www.hud-e.com and click on the Alfa section . They also do a sport model for trackdays etc

Just thought I'd share this with those interested in gadgets... Got myself a HUD which is a Heads Up Display(for those not in the know) plug in unit that displays your vehicle speed onto your windscreen... Personally speaking It's the best piece of kit I've ever bought. Bang on the money regarding the actual speed you are doing, and I've tested it against numerous speed display cameras and it's come up trumps everytime . Comes into it's own when going through them average speed cameras at roadworks on the motorway etc, no more checking the speedo every 2 mins It can display revs,fuel consumption and other bits and bobs if needed, but I can't be arseholed with all that stuff.. Only downsides are... Club foot box and cable on the dash and it flashes 159 onto the windscreen for 5 secs when the ignition is switched off. Certainly a licence saver though and the graphics look trick especially at night
