  1. Sorry Lancs, it's the small round (? possibly square?) grey clip which fits into the nearside headlight bracket on the car. There's normally 2 (?) bolts and a push-fit clip, its the clip that i need. I suppose the better way of saying it, is there is a locating dowel on the back of the headlight rim which clips into a clip on the bracket. If i had my camera i'd take a photo, i'll try and get a pic tomorrow.
  2. I know it's a bit pathetic, but i'm in need of a plastic clip for a 156 nearside headlight. It's the top clip that fits into the bracket on the car, mine seems to have gone AWOL. Cheers fellas.
  3. Thanks Smaky, i'll give it a go
  4. i can't seem to pinpoint it to a single area. It sounds like a groaning/squeak, i can be parked up at the side of the road, turn my steering wheel and it will do it. Sorry guys
  5. I really don't rate VW much. The only one that i've been in and "felt the force" of is a Scirroco 1.4 TSI, turbo AND super charged. God damn it's quick off the line!
  6. My other half currently owns an E36 328i Sport Coupe and at first I was actually impressed by it. So much so, i wanted one. However, after driving it a few times, and then driving my alfa, there's a few niggles that are holding me back: 1. The driving position isn't the most comfortable for me. The wheel seems too close and the pedals seem too far away. I've tried every position under the sun and can't find a comfortable spot. 2. Heavy handling. The steering just seems too heavy. Call me wimpy or whatever, but my 156 just seems to handle better somehow, it feels lighter and more nimble, almost like it could run rings around the bimmer. 3. Fuel costs. It's a 2.8 engine with the "mandatory" M50 inlet manifold, BBTB and remap. Probably running around 220 bhp (not dyno'd yet, so just an estimate) so it's a bit on the thirsty side. 4. Soppy arse end. Rear suspension just seems too spongy and bounces way too much for my liking. I know it can be upgraded, but this is supposed to be "sport" suspension from BMW!
  7. It's not exactly a car, but it's got wheels and a PETROL POWERED engine Had a few minor alterations since i got it back in April: twin headlights "dinky blinkers" on the front (not got around to the back yet). Renthal flat handlebars Bar end mirrors GRP Belly pan GRP Front hugger mudguard (as opposed to the crappy fake CF one which i hated). That is all up to now. Future plans include: Getting shot of the ugly rear fender and numberplate holder and replacing with a tail tidy. Powercommander unit (piggyback ECU for increased power etc etc). And maybe wavy discs on the front BEFORE: AFTER:
  8. 100cc at 80mph? Sounds like that's going to equal a rather substantial engine repair bill after a while... You know you want a Monster, you've got to keep it Italian!
  9. HM, no I don't think you are that old, i know you are Cheers Keithy! Good to see some familiar faces around here
  10. I've got a rather annoying squeak on my twinny. Seems to be coming from front drivers side, but not suspension (doesn't always squeak over bumps, but does when steering). Would it be safe to say it's a worn CV joint? or is it something more sinister? Cheers fellas

    No porn?

    I'll second that one!
  12. Fuck off! Just because i can say it. I've been banned once already, WITHOUT posting! How do matey! If you go to your User Control Panel and go to "Profile" or one of the tabs, and then select "Edit Avatar" on the left hand side. You'll also find "Edit Signature" and "Edit Gayness"... Ok, the last one i made up, but it seemed to sound good at the time.
  13. I'm amongst the many from AO (aka AlanB156). I won't bother with pictures of my bella because you probably seen them all before Hopefully I am un-banned...
