Sphinx 7 Report post Posted April 28, 2013 http://www.autoblog.com/2013/03/28/audi-rumored-to-buy-alfa-romeo-officials-deny-it/ What do you think? Just rumours or are Fiat finally considering giving into VW's constant pestering?
K9d 108 Report post Posted April 28, 2013 Its probably more of the same old rumours, I'm not in the market for a new Alfa but if I was I would never buy a rebadged VW.
twisted_pr 16 Report post Posted April 29, 2013 Surely Morgan's dream pairing?
Morgan 46 Report post Posted April 29, 2013 Alfa-styled bodies with German oily bits? Since the demise of the Busso V6, there's no reason why that wouldn't be a dream pairing.

divadiva 15 Report post Posted April 29, 2013 (edited) Fiat is strapped for cash and the VW Group have made no secret they’d like to add Alfa Romeo to their portfolio of brands. Audi CEO Rupert Stadler and Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne haven’t apparently met to discuss the subject as yet but who knows! WTI 59 Report post Posted April 29, 2013 I think it will happen eventually.Fiat are fucking it up big style.Yeah the 4c is beautiful but where are the affordable new coupes?? Alfa will end up with the Germans.I think styling wise they will remain Italian inspired(they already have De Silva)
Morgan 46 Report post Posted April 30, 2013 Cocking autocorrect bollocks on the iPhone Cheers Morgan Er, you mean "cheers Biggy". Force of habit, I suppose. See a correction, assume Morgan's behind it.
Anjenha 44 Report post Posted April 30, 2013 Wouldn't bother me if they did... Audi are one of the most well made German Makes, In my opinion. Much better put together than BMW's that's for sure! My only worry is that a point and shoot Audi, which does as it's told, when it is told, is very boring compared to an Alfa which you HAVE to physically drive... twisted_pr 16 Report post Posted April 30, 2013 Audi's are not noted for their handling which is a concern. Design wise, I think they've pretty much let Lambo do what they want, just changing the switchgear on the inside, so hopefully they would do the same with Alfa. That's if it all happens of course. Morgan 46 Report post Posted April 30, 2013 The thing with Lamborghini is that they can't platform share with VAG products. Any money you like that if VAG buy Alfa, all future models will be based on VW's new MQB platform (which, by all accounts, is a highly tuneable chassis model).
