    Got Another

I liked 'em first time around, and now I like 'em even more. Much as it pains me to agree with the Smakster, he's right.
  2. That JVC one does look tidy. The best looking double-din units are pure touchscreen bad boys, where the screen rotates to accept CDs/DVDs. You can generally customise the display to look like the rest of your dials, too (i.e. red backlight).
  3. Or, buy this, which will then mean you can buy any double-din unit. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CONNECTS2-ALFA-147-GT-DOUBLE-DIN-STEREO-FACIA-KIT-/160896081838?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3AAlfa+Romeo%7CModel%3A147&hash=item2576275fae
  4. There's this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alfa-Romeo-147-GT-Bluetooth-Car-DVD-Radio-Player-USB-Double-Din-SD-Stereo-Kit-/140971580157?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item20d28f9afd
  5. eBay sellers are always banging out units like that. The bonus is you can read seller reviews, and only trade with people who are legit, with loads of feedback. That first link you posted up looks more fake than Jordan's tits. Probably legit, but I don't like the look of it.
  6. You lot are all frigging hilarious. Just thought I'd say.
  7. The thing with Lamborghini is that they can't platform share with VAG products. Any money you like that if VAG buy Alfa, all future models will be based on VW's new MQB platform (which, by all accounts, is a highly tuneable chassis model).
  8. Yeah, but that 156 has serpent stickers under the side repeaters. Doubles the value, that does.
  9. Er, you mean "cheers Biggy". Force of habit, I suppose. See a correction, assume Morgan's behind it.
  10. Alfa-styled bodies with German oily bits? Since the demise of the Busso V6, there's no reason why that wouldn't be a dream pairing.
  11. Smiths Nursery is right near me - used to drive past it every night on the way home from work. In other news, I won't be meeting you lot there, as I'm taking the family off for a mini-break to the south coast that weekend.

    Gt Failed

He knows he is, it's fine.

    Gt Failed

Bummer. I had a similar issue with my old BMW 740i. An airbag reset (performed by my friendly indie) would keep the light off for about a week or so. Can you not have the light reset and then go straight to the MoT station?
  14. In fairness to Autolusso, they had a specific issue with the powder-coating process on V6 engine rebuilds. Once the issue was identified, they changed the process, and rebuilt all affected engines under warranty - no additional charge to the customer.
  15. You could try Ned at Autolusso. http://www.autolusso.co.uk From memory, he offers a 3 year warranty on all Twinnie engines sold.
  16. Alfa, supporting Fiat, with two slow-ish selling models in the range? Not so sure. The 2011 sales figures tell the story: Alfa Romeo - 130,535 vehicles Fiat - 1,915,525 vehicles (2,046,060 total Fiat Group sales, minus 130,535 Alfa sales) They can't make so much profit on 130,535 cars, that they are propping up the entire Fiat Group. To put the figure of 130,535 car sales into perspective, in the same year, BMW found homes for 310,050 5-Series models alone.
  17. A V8, in the current climate? I'd be very surprised if that happens. Even Maserati are talking about fitting V6 petrols and diesels to the new Ghibli.
  18. There's a 900 3-door identical to the one above, on Autotrader for about £1,600 (from memory). So tempting.
  19. Yeah, it's a beauty, and addresses my only concern about Porkers of that era - that the standard ones don't look beefy enough.
