What are you driving these days?: Everyday family cars are his and hers Freelanders. Alfa collection is a 155 Q4, 75 Cloverleaf and 5 33s of varying descriptions and roadworthyness
How did you find AlfaDriver?: Spotted someone mention it from the AROC UK forum
Describe your introduction to the Alfa Romeo brand: Owned a 33 P4 back in 1994 - loved it, traded it for a skinny 155 V6, and so the story began
Outside of Alfa Romeo, what are your interests?: A lifetimes work renovating a Victorian farmhouse, kids, dogs and a bit of travel. Once upon a time before kids, liked sailing
What do you do for a living?: After a long time working for corrupt corporate America, was made redundant and now training to be a teacher
Tell us an interesting/crazy/unusual fact about yourself: ermmm, lived in US for 8 years, did a lot of stuff there including MX5 racing, owned a 69 Charger and a 72 Challenger
What's your "special skill"?: Mechanicing - do all my own car maintenance and have a toolkit to back it up - reasonable experience on 1990s onwards Alfas, and learning a lot about boxer engines (33s are a fairly recent event)
If money was no object, what four vehicles would be in your dream garage?:
- Dream daily driver: A good series 2 TD5 Disco
- Dream track car: My Q4 with the engine reaching its full potential of about 350hp
- Dream all-rounder: Immaculate 33 Series 3 Sport Wagon with P4 transmission and lots of rust proofing for use all year round
- Wildcard entry: I would quite like to build a Lancia Stratos with a 2.0 Busso turbo engine
What are you personally hoping to get out of AlfaDriver?: Sharing technical info, getting to know a few people
