Hello From South East Asia.... Oh, And From The Other Side Too It Seems

Recommended Posts

Hi guys and gals,

Just popping by to take a look see at things this side, and I've enjoyed most of the silent readings so far.

Hope to get more out of it here as much as possible as I am learning about my car each time I tweak something or replace a worn part.

Cheers!

Its just a culture here, where we have the car for a very limited time, we might as well pour as much heart and soul into it before we finally have to scrap and export it. Unless we pay a hefty fee to renew the right to own it for another 10 years.

You've done yours right from a power perspective. the most grunt I got off the V6 was from the CF2 and EQ pipes. Had a Supersprint muffler but sold it off as it was a bit too boomy for my liking.

With the stock rear box, the car flies off the starting line like cat on a hot tin roof!

You should try the chassis collars on stock suspension. I honestly felt that a stock car should have left the factory that way. It makes the stock suspension feel comfy and yet excellent road holding.

For just a bit more ROAR and go, the aftermarket top engine mount is a must do. you'll be very surprised at the amount of instantaneous pull you get with your throttle. And last but not least, the short shifter, so that it feels like a real sports car, instead of one with Truck like gear shifts. Mine shortens the shifter by about 40-50%.

The rest are just for fun and additional power for bragging rights.

Thanks will try that one out. :D Time is alright, its usually a day or 2 max at the workshop. the pipes took 2 days to fabricate and the CF2s went in the same time as I the timing belts and clutch, so another 2 days max. The rest are usually a 1 day job to get it in. Its the $$$ part that is painful. Good thing I have built a little "trust fund for that"
