I had a Galaxy S for 2 weeks, unfortunately it kept crashing and I had to return it, your right its a fantastic screen. You should be able to put 2.3 on it, I did, have you tried XDA developers ? I have files on my PC for rooting etc, just need to sort them from ZTE and HTC files. I have a HTC desire now, de-branded from O2 and running 2.3.

How can two such similar cars be so different, don't know what it is but for some reason the Alfa is cool and the Allegro......well its shit.

Other than the stick vibrating there is no other effect so I wont worry about it until you can cast you expert eye on it.

This is more of a rapid oscillation that can be made to go away by going to neutral then back to 4th, my wild stabs in the dark guesses with my limited knowledge would be, problem within the box with teeth not meshing properly all the time or something out of balance. These are just my uneducated guesses, when I get the money to fix my 156 I will get you to have a drive in my 166 to see if you can shed more light on it.

In my 166 sometimes in 4th my gear stick oscillates, this is only noticeable when putting my hand on the stick. If I depress the clutch move to neutral and then back to 4th it will change to somewhere between no oscillation and full, occasionally it will also do it in 3rd. There is no noticeable effect other then the stick oscillating. Please make sure the answer is cheap, my cars are killing me financially at the moment.

It's not my car that has the problem, have passed the info on to my neighbour.

That options out the window then. If it was me I would just take the bulb out.

I don't need to worry about my squeaky brakes now because my squeaky aux belt tensioner/idler is drowning it out.

My neighbours 156 has a problem whereby the lights stay on all the time. From what I can see the rear light on the drivers side is lit. Any ideas as to cause and cure ?

I know of a dead 156 V6 that would be a perfect recipient for that engine when the car fails its MOT.

I got mine because when I was doing 12 hour night shifts as a printers assistant the worlds most boring job for an ex printer/manager I needed something to alleviate the boredom, now I'm on 8 hours shifts and printing again it is largely unused but very handy for google, sat-nav etc.

Nice phone the x10 and not bad for a ton, the Orange San Francisco is a ZTE Blade that has been re-badged. When I got mine it was £90 and the Sony was about £150 I only got it because I knew it was easy to unlock and reconfigure. Its a good phone although Angry Birds can be a bit slow at times.

Yep, it takes some time but it can be done, all I'm left with is the Orange label on the back I'm running Android Version 2.2 on mine.

The Orange San Francisco is an OK phone once you unlock it, very easy to do, and then wipe the Orange software off and put a decent version of Android on. And all of the above is within my skills, so I'm sure you could manage easily. If you do get one I still have the files on my PC that are needed to sort it out.

This may be a bit left field, but how about a 156 SW 2.4 10v, in a lovely Black a snip at £2k Out of your list it would be GTV or Corrado other than that something big and Japanese Toyota Supra or similar.

Ahh but you had the 2.5 with a "lady licence" box that is about on a par with a manual twinny for perfomance. I think my 2.5 is too small for the car, its fine when revved but seriously lacking at lower revs. Another thing to look out for is temperamental central locking, I have had the rear drivers side door not working for ages and today my car decided to unlock then lock itself straight away, made getting in a tad difficult. P.S. Smaky what's the best fix for temperamental central locking. ?
