  1. Made £300 on it Hughsy, not bad I don't think, swapped it for a Ford Probe V6 though now, oh dear, lol
  2. Yeah it's a decent motor mate, looks good and goes great, and for £2000 you can do 150MPH! lol I needed a car for work and as I've had Alfa's before I grabbed at the chance to have another GTV V6 but it's just too damn impractical. The boot is tiny and you can't get rear passengers in at all, lol
  3. Right, it's got to be said, I can't remember the GTV V6 being so impractical. It would make a great second car or weekend toy, but for me it just isn't practical enough to use commuting to work and back. So, the car is up for sale on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1999-ALFA-ROM ... 1c1e23be88 It's had an absolute fortune spent on it over the years, cambelt, bushes, tyres etc etc, and goes like a nutter! Plus it only has 78K on the clock which is very good. It's on eBay without reserve so feel free to slam a bid down, or make me an offer via eBay or via a PM on this site. I'm after £2000 or nearest offer which I think is quite fair considering what's been spent on it. (It also comes with the private GTV plate) Anyway, here is the full advert copied from eBay, and some pictures at the bottom. ************************************* 1999 Alfa Romeo GTV 3.0i V6 24V Lusso 78,000 Miles 5 Speed Manual MOT July 2012 Tax Until end of this month Full Service History All Dealer Packs / Keys ETC Air Con Full Leather £2000 ONO 07576 806 114 [email protected] Here for sale is my 1999 Alfa Romeo GTV V6 which I am selling due to a lack of funds. I have been driving the car to work and back for the last few weeks and can honestly say it doesn't miss a single beat. The gearbox works great, the clutch is spot on and the brakes also work brilliantly. The most impressive part is the performance, with the 3.0 Litre V6 kicking out 220BHP it goes extremely well and pulls great throughout all gears. It also handles phenomenally well! The performance is seriously blistering with a 0-60 of around 6 seconds and a top speed of 150MPH. Body wise the car is in excellent condition as can be seen from the pictures, being a 13 year old car there are a few light scratches and few marks here and there but nothing that detracts from the sheer beauty of the car. The paintwork is as shiny as when it left the factory and the alloy wheels are also in excellent condition. The interior, once again, is in exceptional condition and the leather doesn't have any rips or tears at all. The sound system works great and sounds amazing, it comes with the standard Alfa Clarion tape deck with integral 6 Disc CD changer. The Air Con blows ice cold and works just as it should. The tyres are all pretty new and they are Goodyear Eagles, they cost the previous owner around £130 a corner, so as stated above handling wise the car is unreal! All of the electrics work as they should from the lights to the windows, to the Climate control to the stereo etc. It's fully loaded as are most Alfa's and comes with these host of features, some of which I'm bound to have forgotten: Power Steering Electric Windows ABS Remote Central Locking Alloy Wheels 6 Disc CD Changer Climate Control Alarm & Immobiliser Private Plate (Comes with car) The car comes with a big history file and all of the manuals and books etc, as well as 3 sets of keys. So, that along with the 10 months MOT and TAX the car is ready to be driven away and to be enjoyed by its next owner! The car has a private plate fitted, T14 GTV, and comes with all of the paperwork for it. The cheapest GTV plate on DVLA is around the £400 marker and I've seen them go for quite a bit more with 2 digits after the first letter instead of 3. So even if you currently have a GTV and just want the plate it may be worth buying this one and then changing the plate to your car and then selling this one on. The previous owner had the car for around 5 years and has spent an absolute fortune on it with tonnes of history and receipts to prove. As said above it has a full service history with fully stamped up book and loads of invoices. It had a cambelt and tensioners change at around 70K and now has 78K on the clock, so it has ages left on it. It has been looked after by Alfanet of Bristol, a local Alfa specialist. Recently it has had brand new pads and discs fitted, as well as rear suspension arms and bushes. The GTV also has an aftermarket alarm fitted which works great and uses remote central locking which works perfectly. It also comes with the original tool kit and spare wheel. The GTV has some subtle CUP styling in the form of the side vents and rear spoiler, if you wanted you could go the whole way and turn it into a full CUP replica. (Instead of forking out the £6000+ they actually go for!) It has also had a Supersprint stainless steel exhaust fitted which along with the engine make the car sound amazing! All in all this is a brilliant GTV V6 that needs a new owner who can really enjoy the car. As I have stated, this is a 13 year old car and not a mint show winning example, it's a good looking fast car that needs an owner who can just enjoy driving it. If you were to spend a few hundred quid you could get it looking perfect. If you have any questions or require further pictures please don't hesitate to get in touch as I would be happy to help. RAC and AA inspections are more than welcome also. The car is at my home address in Bristol in the BS32 area. (About a 2 minute drive from J16 of the M5) So, if you want to arrange a viewing or need anything just send an e-mail or give me a call and we can sort something out. My number is 07576806114. Payment wise I will accept cash on collection only on this one thank you, and would appreciate if the car could be collected within one week of winning the car. Many thanks!
  4. Well I'm going to shove it on ebay and see what I get for it, lol
  5. Yeah but would anyone actually pay that for it lol
  6. Hey gang, my new GTV V6 has a private plate, T** GTV. Thinking of selling it but was wondering if there's any interest in them??? Advice appreciated! Thanks.
  7. Team, The BMW 323i shall be departing me on 13/07/2011, sad times I know, but as the title suggest, what next???? Want to spend about £2000-ish on another car but not sure what to get. I want a UK spec car so the insurance isn't too bad, but other than that not really fussed. Practicality doesn't matter as I only work about 10 miles away from home and have a Mondeo as well of the wifes. Ideally after something that looks great and goes like stink. Was considering another GTV V6 as I've not had an Alfa in years and noticed the GTV V6 and 166 Super V6 cars seemed to have dropped quite a bit toward my price range now. So far the cars that I've come up with in my budget are: Alfa Romeo 166 Super Alfa Romeo GTV V6 Jaguar XJS 4.0i Facelift VW Corrado BMW E46 328i Saloon There's a few others but they are out of budget. Can anyone give me some ideas of a car that's quick, looks good, and that's about it, within budget? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Ah fair shout mate, glad youre still sticking with Alfa despite the issues youve had, lol. I've gone all Gerry and got a BMW 323i Convertible now, good fun but do miss my Alfa's!
  9. Here's mine, lol She was a 1996 MGF with the 1.8i K Series engine, kicked out 120BHP, did 120MPH with the top down, and kicked her arse out at every available opportunity. One of the most fun cars I have had, and sadly THE most unreliable. Steam would shoot out the overflow tank once a week whilst the temp gauge read max and the heater blew cold! Crock of shit. But VERY fun!!! Came with chrome roll bars and I fitted newer seats and doorcards to it. Looked brilliant IMO.
  10. Not sure if this will work, but if it's anything like the 'Other' site it should do. Here's mine anyway, a 1997 323i Convertible Manual.
  11. As you know Sy I currently have that 97 323i Convertible. Great car, really enjoy it, but you know me, I get bored really quickly, lol. The only other convertible I have had was an MGF and there isn't any comparison when it comes to the build quality. Mine has a full electric folding roof which admittedly takes about 30 seconds to unfold, but it's water tight as hell unlike the MG. The MGF was like a bath if we even had so much as light drizzle. Oh, and they were both the most unreliable pieces of crap I have ever owned. (Yeah, I had 2, what a twat, lol)
  12. Smiffy, came from AO mate after getting a lifetime ban from a mini Hitler, lol Mudhut! How's it going mate??? Yeah the wife is driving the Mondeo now and I've got a BMW 323i Convertible E36, traitor I know, haha. Yeah that's when we last met when I had the little Fiat. Munky, thanks for the warm welcome mate, yeah I got banned about 2 years back I'd say, lol Morgan, things are good thanks buddy, how you doing??? Alfapud, my membership is still early, hahaha, hope you are well!!! Thanks Gaz!!! K9D me old mucker! nah working at Mercedes now mate, how are you doing anyway? Still got your 166 and 146???
  13. Hey guys! Does anybody know of a good place to get my wheels refurbed in the Bristol area? The wheels are shot to bits but don't have bad chunks etc. Just flaky and rusty etc. Look crap and want all 4 done! Any help or advice greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  14. Hello mate! Glad to see you again lol
