  1. Morgan never deleted nuffink! Apart from talk about nefarious movie distribution methods.
  2. Thanks for taking the interview, Saabretooth. As for censorship, we're pretty lenient around here. The only things we don't allow are the c-word, nudity and talk of movie piracy.
  3. The air vents in your picture, Ty, look identical to the vents I had in my 166.
  4. Just make sure you don't lose too much on the MiTo when you trade it in.
  5. The Film Review thread cleanup is now complete.
  6. By way of further explanation, please see below an extract from a post made by our website technical guru, Waz (alfabhoy) on the Film Review thread: Hi folks, Sorry to butt in here but I just saw a moderator report flagging up the fact that there had been a link to an illegal file sharing site added in this thread. The moderating team did the right thing in removing the link and I'd just like to take a minute to remind everyone why we don't allow those types of links. The fact of the matter is that linking to illegal file sharing sites is against the Acceptible Use Policy of our web host. If they receive even one DRM (Digital Rights Management) related complaint they'll simply pull the plug, no warnings, no slaps on the wrist, no friendly requests to remove the link - just straight forward removal of AlfaDriver.com from their servers. Therefor can everyone please take a moment to think about the consequences before considering posting links to an illegal file sharing site? Thanks, Waseem
  7. At 10:00am today (Friday 9th August 2013), all posts that are not directly related to the review of films will be deleted from the AD Film Review 2013 thread. This is a reminder that the film review thread is for the discussion of films you've seen/want to see/never want to see, and any chat arising from that, not a debate on the rights and wrongs of various movie procurement practices. Any future posts that stray off the film review topic will be deleted without notice, furthermore the mod team reserve the right to issue warnings/bans as appropriate. Thank-you.
  8. When my mechanic (an Alfa indie) checked my motor over a few weeks ago, he was pleased to note I had Pagid brake pads, and told me they were "decent gear". Not sure that helps you with the pricing situation, but my indie doesn't like cheap-n-nasty parts.

    Hi All...

Welcome to the forum, Sam. We've got a pretty good technical section here, and our very own grumpy genius Alfa tech, Smaky. Rather annoyingly, he knows absolutely bloody everything about Alfas.
  10. Bwahahahahahaha! "Hello family, this is my friend Andrea. She'll be coming with us!"
  11. I can't make it. But don't feel too sorry for me - I'll be on a 2 week Mediterranean cruise.

    Hi

We're a bit more, er, how shall I put it... ... Relaxed. To the point of being horizontal.
  13. Welcome aboard the good ship AD. Shooting and smoking cigars, eh? You'll fit right in around here.
  14. What you'd need is an "agreed value" policy, which will be a bit more expensive than a standard policy (which will pay out tuppence ha'penny if your 2003 147 is written off), but will at least pay out a decent amount of money in the event of the car getting smashed up. AlfaDriver.com have partnered with Prestige Keep Moving car insurance, and have their own section on this site. Tim from Prestige will be able to help, I'm sure. The Prestige insurance section is to be found here: http://www.alfadriver.com/forum/index.php/forum/140-car-insurance-chat/ Good luck, and welcome to AD.
  15. Well, that's rather picky of you. As if I'd ever be picky like tha... No, wait.
  16. "Tasser in Bimmer" sound more Germanic, so I'll have that one. PS: "Bimmer" is the nickname given to BMW cars. "Beemer" or "Beamer" are nicknames for BMW motorbikes.
  17. Flyblo, sorry to hear the engine's gone pop. Is the engine a TS, or is it a V6? I seem to remember someone trying to give away a TS engine on here recently. I wonder if it's still going... Or if it will be suitable.
  18. In the event of it all going pear shaped, just remember that Smiffy and LJ agreed with me. That makes them 33% responsible each.
  19. If I ever manage to prise the keys out of his clenched fist, I'll give you a shout.
  20. Let me guess... A couple of 147s, and before that, Corsas.
  21. LJ, start getting your car serviced at Autolusso, and ask Ned very nicely if you can borrow his E55 AMG Estate. That thing is a MONSTER.
