When I first stripped the shitbox I kept all the mod cons (carpet, stereo, electric windows, sunroof, headliner etc) and still lost 150kg. It made a big difference to handling and acceleration. Then I got serious about it and took an angle grinder to it. Door skins, electrics, sunroof, spare wheel well, sound deadening, lightweight drivers seat... And only took it down another 100kg ish. Sadly it never got used again in anger so I didn't get to enjoy that extra weight loss properly. One thing I will say is if you want it to be a daily driver, don't strip it, you will regret it.

You don't have to spend anything to lighten a car Rip out everything you dont need. Job jobbed. Removing seats front and rear will lose a lot. But you might want to keep one...

Air locks can move around. If its where the sensir is it will read hot. If it moves it wont. It may not be, but as you've had the cooling system apart recently to fit hoses it would be my first suspect. Not sure on the bleeding methods for these cars, do they have bleed nipples, are they 'self bleeding'?

I never understood head unit remotes. The driver can reach it, and everyone knows ONLY THE DRIVER is allowed to control the stereo.

I got a bluetooth head unit as it makes it legal to dial numbers on it while driving and I can do voice dialing/answering. it also mutes the stereo during calls etc and shows the track info and lets me control the music from the stereo too. Never really saw the point of it til I was sat in a car 12 hrs a day

I have my phone linked to the head unit by bluetooth. Music, radio, movies, tv streaming, calls all come through the speakers. My tablet is too big to use, but I am going to buy a 7 inch one asap to use. So no, it can't replace it, as it needs to stream to it, but it compliments it very nicely. :thumbs;

The current range, when compared to the previous one, is shit. When compared to most other current marques though, they're a cut above the rest. But being the least shit in a selection of shit isn't really anything to shout about...

Cba to read any of this thread. There are some f1 'legends' but none of them are good drivers. They just had good cars. F1 is shite, and so are all of its drivers. If you want to see the worlds best drivers, watch some touring cars or rally coverage. Its like f1, but the cars don't fall apart if they come within a foot if each other and you have to know how to drive to win.
