Sooty Si 1 Report post Posted December 12, 2013 Morning all, Car was running fine until I started her up this morning to go to work, with a misfire, then MCSF and flashing engine symbol. Plugged in the good ol' OBD thingamajig, and I've got a misfire on cylinder 3 (P0303). Anyone know if its more likely to be the coil pack or spark plug before I start ordering bits? alfizta 6 Report post Posted December 12, 2013 switch coil on cylinder 3 for coil on cylinder 2 for example... if p0303 goes to cylinder 2, then coil is at fault. how many miles have your spark plugs? oem (ngk) ones should last 60 000 miles. there are others that don't last 13 000 miles... Sooty Si 1 Report post Posted December 12, 2013 (edited) OK, swapped the coils and, yes, no.2 cylinder now has the misfire. Took the plug out while I was at it, its an NGK and looks OK, but I might replace them after Christmas. New coil on order. Thanks for the suggestion, by the way. Don't know why I didn't think of it myself, just having one of those mornings I guess. Edited December 12, 2013 by Sooty Si
