Removing the boot badge

Recommended Posts

Is there a plastic cover on the inside of the boot? Mine has a cover which pops off you can get a small ratchets up to reach the nuts & undo them then pull the badge off. (i think, can't remember exactly)

Depending on model and year it could be any number of ways.

Yes....some screw on and some snap on to my knowledge.

Okey dokey, spin the badge, remove the 2 blanking plugs to expose the 2 security bolts, either drill into them with a 3.2mm and use an easy out to remove them OR dremel a slot across and hope a screwdriver can get enough bite to loosen them, then pop the whole lock out and disconnect the rod behind, now the lock is off you can remove the E clip which retains the badge and then pull the badge off the lock making sure you don't lose the 2 springs and the o-ring.

Personally I always polish the area behind the lock before refitting it with 2 new security bolts.
