GTA Using Oil

Recommended Posts

Hi Smaky

My other half has a 156GTASW, with a recently fitted Q2 system.

It has recently started to drink more oil than normal (I know they're supposed to use some, but this has increased substantially over the last month).

Any clues?

Do you know which oil is in the car at the moment? mine has selenia and uses quite a bit but other people have suggested using valvoline or castrol instead as they don't seem to have as much usage :).

mine is due an oil change soon so will be swapping to 1 of those 2

No, all I know is that it's an expensive synthetic one.

But this is a change to normal, just wondering why ...

Will do - well, will tell himself ... lol ... I don't think it's dripping anywhere though.

Has he been driving like he stole it since the Q2? When I took my car to the Evo triangle hubby drove like a bitch and she drank a whole engine full. Never had 'oil problems' before or after though

I don't think so - he goes fast sometimes, and I know he has been putting his foot down a bit more lately, but not normally that much of a nutter ... still,I will mention it at some point.
