  1. hi! I'm parking my 156 on a garage for a couple of months or so... brake discs are getting that rusty layer... I know this is normal, but will a wd40 spray on them do any arm? thanks!
  2. yes. next time I'll race a bit on the way to the inspection center
  3. ok, I'll be honest... the "alfa hater" fella that tested her had to heat the engine properly until it pass on emissions, but it was pretty straight forward I think she has a half faulty stat that does not heat the engine properly...
  4. MOT for my 146 tomorrow. wish me luck
  5. this glue states for temps up to 120 ºC. maybe won't last forever, but it's doing an excellent job on both my alfas
  6. yes, you can repair it without having it removed. that is the best option for the CF1 engines.

    Wrong !

I was being sarcastic I knew what I was buying. still they had to send me 2 of those untill I got one working, although they say «is guaranteed to be in good working order»

    Misfire

switch coil on cylinder 3 for coil on cylinder 2 for example... if p0303 goes to cylinder 2, then coil is at fault. how many miles have your spark plugs? oem (ngk) ones should last 60 000 miles. there are others that don't last 13 000 miles...

    Wrong !

on the same listing: «Please note:- This part has not been tested and if found to be faulty please contact us on 01179 040155 and if we have another one in stock we will send it straight out to you but if we do not have another one in stock the item has to be returned for a full refund» «This part is guaranteed to be in good working order when fitted and is in good USED condition.» just hilarious...

    Wrong !

I actually bought one of those "idle control valves". lucky for me, replaced just fine my variator solenoid
  12. looks like it's backwards because of the way the cables are, but it is very easy to turn the cables the other way. I did it myself without having to turn the MAF. if you watch closely you can confirm it. it's a shame cause I think the idle actuator was the only thing left to check and probably was going to work...
  13. actually they write it the same way as us european portuguese. but, just picking on you. good effort
  14. should be "Olá e bem vindo!"
  15. I just used what I had at home. Although it has a sealant function too. It shouldn't be better than a silicone sealant, and should be more costly than the silicone too, but it works great and does not corrode the gasket, I can guarantee you. Tested on both my alfas. Yes it is. The leak is easy to spot. You'll see the surroundings of the solenoid gasket weted in oil. In an older leak all the area around the solenoid valve with be quite dirty with oil.
  16. look at the bright side. it is now world's property like a master classical piece of an anonymous author
  17. and it's impossible to open without smashing the outer metal cover...
  18. remember to fully clip the coil pack conections air con compressor did not look to be connected rpm sensor was plugged correctly, but the cable was going over the fuel pipe that goes to the injectors. should pass under.
