I've hand a minor misfire on the GTA for a while now. Nothing mental just at low rpm when hot and it was only a single misfire at a time. Drive to birmingham and back today and it has got much much worse. Intermittent at idle and low pull away. It's had plugs so I know its a coilpack but is there a way of testing them with a multimeter? I can play swapsys on the front bank but stripping the plenum off can get time consuming especially if you end up doing it 3 times testing the coilpacks on the rear and I don't really want to buy 3

@Morgan. I wonder if they'd do a slush box auto just for you @K9d &Gaz cheers guys. I've now refitted the fuel flap that is missing from the photo @twisted: love the mk2 golf and the 635. Both can still be had for pretty good money. Mk1 golf's are getting a bit pricy mind

That was the initial look, but the new regulations look as if they will be OK aslong as the emmit white or yellow and are both supply adequate light, so the only problem may be if you get one of the kits which is blue of tint. Ah so that is probably why mine have gone through. they are pretty much ice white

Open loop means the circuit has failed. Probably because the wire is not connected in your case. It can also mean the component has failed as open loop on an airbag sensor means it's buggered in my experience. Smaky should be along soon to correct me and give more helpful advice!

give yourself a pat on the back . We were just about to go out with the texa diagnostic too but as it wasn't needed. Perhaps you can pass on this thread to the europeans!
