For ages now the brakes on my GTA have screeched really badly,its embarrassing when you pull up next to a bus and your brakes make more noise than that thing does . Anyway, today while i was checking the tyre pressures i was fiddling about and put the small thin air compressor nozzle (like you would use to pump up a football) under/around the calipers/discs and gave it a blast and saw loads of brake dust come billowing out. Done all 4 until no more dust would come out and since doing that i went for a drive and no more screeching brakes . im sure theres probly a technical term for what i done but it looked good when i done it and it seems to have sorted it out too . you should also probly wear a mask and goggles but i just held my breathe and looked away . ive done this before and it lasted for quite a while but it seems to be a build up of brake dust which causes it on my car at least, so if it helps anyone else out its worth doing

Ned, was annoying as i was saving for the Q2 to be put in but it went before i could get it done. I was lucky though as the gearbox casing had only cracked instead of breaking open and dumping oil everywhere

The day after i picked it up after finally getting it sorted after having the car for nearly 2 months ( but thats another story ) Pulled out of a space in south mimms service's & the diff decided it would prefer to be spread around the gearbox . It was November time so they were busy & as i wasn't stuck on the side of a motorway i probly wasn't top of their list. The Army turned up though

ive never been seen out either. i was stuck in a service station carpark waiting for the RAC for 6 hours last november and got passed by loads of alfa's and they didnt even look over

think its on 29k seen somewhere else its advertised at 30k so maybe its used as a daily runner at the minute the mileage on mine was on 28k when i got it about a year ago (give or take a week or 2 ) ive done 5k miles in it, and they were 5000 of the best miles ive ever done in a car. if you ever get the chance to get a GTA do it, they are worth it just for the noise they make Mine had the Cloverleaf stickers on it when i bought it but i took them off as they were quite big and didn't look right where they were IMO. they were on the wrong way round aswell so thought it looked better without them

Go on ebay, last time i checked the bidding was around 4.5k

If you stick with alfa i can definatley recomend a GTA that'll have you filling up at least once a week if you are sensible. Drive it like you stole it and they remember you in the petrol station

on my old 147 the rod inside the door came off so you could open it from outside but not the inside. took the door card off and fiddled about with all the bits which fell out at the same time and put it all back together and it was fine after that. i think somebody had pulled the handle too hard from the inside and dislodged it all.

Hello i had a 145 cloverleaf for a day once, was a great car

what i like about them is, even though they are the same car, none of them look identical . you'll see what i mean here- ignore the 300bhp 1 as thats just feckin' mental they are all slightly different

That 1 looks nice, ive heard mixed reviews on the essesse kit though. Some say its really good but then it gets bad reviews for being too harsh (ride quality). Being a passenger in it i didnt think it was bad at all

Go for a drive in 1 and decide then. A couple of mates have got them and they are great. Really fun little cars and they dont hang about . If i was looking for a fun little car it would be on my list
