Anjenha 44 Report post Posted August 4, 2011 Erm bit odd this the electrics on my car appear to be 'slow' The passenger window is fine but the drivers one takes AN AGE to go up or down The roof is so slow it times out, though robin will look at this for me as he thinks it might be fluid. The aerial might not come up for a whole minute after I turn in the radio (and sometimes shoots up straight away) THIS IS WHY PEOPLE NEED TO USE THEIR CARS!!!!! For gods sake Any way Any ideas??? Smaky 73 Report post Posted August 6, 2011 On the 916 (GTV and Spider) the door window regulators, just like on the 930, 932 and 937 series suffer from corrosion of the motor, this slows it right down and in serious cases stops it altogether, greaseing the runners is the worst thing you can do as this attracts the dirt and just jams the window even more, as for WD40, I wouldn't even put a can of that stuff in the boot, let alone pop the top and use any. Mitchman 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2011 Use silicon spray as a lubricant. It doesn't attract dirt, the main reason it is used in the food industry.
