Saabretooth 8 Report post Posted April 23, 2015 Hi Guys/Smaky I've recently changed out my Slave, and then Master Clutch Pump at 70k km and 85k km respectively. And at 90k, I changed out my 2nd standard clutch to Dual Friction CG Clutch, which is rated at stage 2.5 clutch (whatever that means) Now at 96,000km, I'm getting a weird sticky/uneven pedal travel upon release. I don't think it should have anything to do with the Master Pump, although symptoms point to it. Also, I might be going to do a full brake fluid flush again to see how it responds. If there's anything else I should look out for when I do this? Thanks
Smaky 73 Report post Posted April 26, 2015 Damage to the release bearing.
Saabretooth 8 Report post Posted April 27, 2015 Thanks. It's a gearbox out job. Is there a part number that I can use to order a release bearing.
Smaky 73 Report post Posted April 27, 2015 If your lucky it's just damaged release arm bearings, but the dual friction clutches I find to be a waste of time and unreliable. As for separate release bearing. You'll have to contact CG to see if you can get one. http://www.clutch-specialists.co.uk/

Saabretooth 8 Report post Posted June 1, 2015 Well, its been 4 weeks and they've finally responded after a number of emails. That saying, they've attributed any issues to poor installation. And have said that it could be broken bearing tangs. Now what on earth is that? Could someone show me a picture? Also, I've tried looking on Eper, and can't find the part number for Release Arm Bearings, Clutch Release Bearings and Bearing Tangs.......
Smaky 73 Report post Posted June 4, 2015 The release arm bushes are 55221732 and 55221733, the STANDARD release bearing is 46465174 and the Tangs are on the pressure plate... the fingers the release bearing pushes on.... and basically they have said that they sold you a clutch kit and will not support you with any issues you have with it, even if it is a pile of shite.
