smiffy 99 Report post Posted April 2, 2014 GT on the cards, borrowed one the weekend, cracking fuel economy and really comfy inside. Lacks grunt but that can be sorted out. There's a few niggles that need to be sorted on it but all in all a great car
K9d 108 Report post Posted April 8, 2014 Anything will seem economical compared to your GTA and also lacking in grunt, cracking cars though, are they based on a 147 ?
LJ_GQV 115 Report post Posted April 8, 2014 Think its a 147 interior but based on a 156 sw?
smiffy 99 Report post Posted April 8, 2014 Yeah something like that. Defo the 147 interior. Seats are nice and comfy
K9d 108 Report post Posted April 8, 2014 I always thought it was a 156 chassis, but looked inside one and spotted the 147 interior, so 156 sw/147 combo makes sense, do they do a 2.4 JTDm ?
smiffy 99 Report post Posted April 8, 2014 No only 1.9 Or you can have a jts or the 3.2 busso
K9d 108 Report post Posted April 8, 2014 Shame, not sure about a JTS and a 3.2 would hurt my wallet too much. I keep telling myself that when the 156 hits 200K miles I will replace it but I will probably just move the goal post, I will find out in 6,000 miles. smiffy 99 Report post Posted April 8, 2014 The 1.9 is decent enough, will get a decent map on it, give it a bit more poke.
Gibot123 16 Report post Posted April 9, 2014 Yeah the jts seems to have a few niggles and it seems to hit the values in the 156s Jtd not perfect but seems more a matter of the egr which seems easy enough to sort out. Turbo hoses seem to be another thing that suffer.
K9d 108 Report post Posted April 10, 2014 Blanked the EGR in mine and replaced the turbo hose with a combination of stainless steel and silicon tubing, other than that no real issues.
