Bigdar 62 Report post Posted September 22, 2013 I found it stuck in the bottom of the engine bay, it's some kind of cover by the looks of it (Bosch). Just wondered where it came from.
Gibot123 16 Report post Posted September 22, 2013 I think that's the cover of the back of you starter.
Bigdar 62 Report post Posted September 22, 2013 If you mean the one that goes on the posi terminal, that's still on there. Still attached to the live feed and back on the terminal.
Gibot123 16 Report post Posted September 22, 2013 Oh . Did you use the same cover then. Pretty sure it's not the alternator one as that's a different fitment. Just trying to think what else has a Bosch cover apart from the abs can't think of anything off the top of my head . I expect Smacky would know straight away but don't know then I'm afraid sorry. WTFH 10 Report post Posted September 23, 2013 Um, this might sound like stating the bloody obvious, but have you tried googling the part number? i.e. type in Bosch "1 928 404" (can't make out the last three characters) That should tell you what it is. Gibot123 16 Report post Posted September 23, 2013 It looks from what I can see like it may be the cover off the underneath of the engine loom connector the base off the two large plugs above the throttle body?

Smaky 73 Report post Posted September 25, 2013 That is an ECU socket blanking cap for when it is in transit, you should never see one of those in the engine bay...so has it had a new ECU?
