StescoG66 8 Report post Posted September 19, 2013 In the throes of doing the engine on the sprint and needing the cylinder heads skimmed and cleaned I was recommended http://www.dgilmour.co.uk/. WHAT AN OUTFIT - PHENOMENAL. A father and son classic old school engineering workshop, on the go since 1969 with Craig (the son) in there since 1986. Craig is a true petrol head and would talk cars forever and a day I think, although boats are his passion. Takes a true price in his work too. Anyway - they seem to specialise in gearbox rebuilds, but also do everything else inc cylinder heads, flywheel skimming and any other jobs of an engineering ilk. Places like these are a real treasure, and would unhesitatingly recommend. It transpires a load of dealers workshops use his services too. I said I would give him a wee mention on the forum and he was delighted and would be happy to help with any projects that are on the go. Check it out folks

Gibot123 16 Report post Posted September 20, 2013 Might be worth me asking about my crank but think the postage maybe a bit too much.
smiffy 99 Report post Posted September 20, 2013 Can't beat a good machine/engine shop. The guy I use (when needed) is a small old school place, he use to do grass track racing with the old man. Quality bloke
