moon_blue 92 Report post Posted November 10, 2011 I was running some 17" multispoke alloys on Bella, but I managed to get some 15" steelies off a 156 for winter. They are currently wearing 185/65/15 tyres, but the owners book details the size to be 195/60/15 what if any are the legal implications of this? Should I purchase the 195 series winter tyre? Smaky 73 Report post Posted November 10, 2011 Tyres are pretty much the same rotational diameter and being narower will cut through snow a teencie bit better, the ride will be softer but corners wont be as sharp and the flex in the walls will be felt, legally there is no issue, but if the tyres are not listed in the spec list for the car then a really anal insurance company may not support you in the event of an accident.
