Kev Bassett 1 Report post Posted October 17, 2011 Hi guys, On payday I am committing myself to giving the car a service as in my eyes it needs one. First of all the Oil, is it worth buying Valvoline 10w40 max life oil? Is this the Alfa OEM spec one. Ovb the Oil Filter & Spark plugs (2 types) and Air Filter. Is it worth buying an induction kit & if so how hard is it to fit? Same goes with the service parts including oil filter, oil sump plug & Spark Plugs? Or if anyone would like to assist early November and help me develop my learning skill I am willing to offer lunch.

alfaholic 001 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2011 How about a good service, oil oil filter air filter spark plugs like you said Also check when last the timing belt service was done, would be a good idea to have it done as well as the balance belt As for induction kit, NO!!!!! they eat the MAF, leave the standard filter (its bigger anyway), decone would be just fine

Anjenha 44 Report post Posted October 17, 2011 Mileage is one thing but what about time? 3yrs is the longest it should be left regardless of mileage.
alfaholic 001 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2011 Agreed, rather have it replaced, the last thing you want is to sit with bent valves And make sure you give the job to some one who knows what they doing
