  1. Don't think there's much stuff left in mine to flush out but that is a good tip K9d. Local KwikShit is doing a complete regas/relube for £49, plus you can have a bioflush (extra spondoolies) at the same time. Am always a bit sceptical about these places, but it's nearly half the price the local (and trusted) spanner man is asking for.
  2. Dr Doalotofunspeakablethings more like
  3. Tomorrow is Italian Car/Bike day at the Ace. Not going to be able to make it until v. late (if at all, being realistic) this month, but maybe some of you will? The sight and sound of last month's F12 is still in my head
  4. The pump makes a noise when you open the driver's door - and as Biggy says, this is priming the system. This should be the usual whirring noise (possibly slightly lower tone if the battery is low) and not a "funny" noise. If the pump's brushes are on their way out, then the pump will work intermittently. If the dropping into neutral fault has occurred and/or you're not getting the pump noise when opening the driver's door, tap the pump a couple of times - if the pump then whirrs it probably means the brushes are worn out on the inside and will need replacing as per the tutorial/guide. I'm afraid that's where my Selespeed knowledge ends and it could be a number of things with your system - so, over to Smaky!
  5. The aircon in my 147 Sele is blowing nowt but warm air, even when set on "Lo". Looking at the service record the aircon hasn't been touched since the car was new - some 11 years ago! Although I come from a biking background (where the visor gap is your aircon ) I know enough about car aircon to know that it is not something I want to attempt myself (they must call them Death Kits in the USA for a reason!) So, would I be OK taking the car to a local mechanic/Kwik-Fit where they do recharging/testing, or would I be better off calling an aircon man in a van type? Or is there anything "unique" about the Alfa/147 aircon system that means it really needs to go to an Alfa/Fiat garage?
  6. It must be those "come to pond" eyes...
  7. The first one is fine. However, once the second has been seen it cannot be unseen. I think he got the idea from the
  8. Hhhhhmmmm, borderline other forum bashing Biggy Don't make LJ get his ban hammer out (joking btw kam, things are very different round here )
  9. Mr Selespeed (aka Smaky) will be along when he can to point you in the right direction. Something very similar happened to mine. Could be a number of things, but turns out it was the pump, which was a relatively straightforward refurb to fix job (there's a guide here somewhere). Way to tell was that when the problem happened, the pump would not prime when opening the driver's door or trying to select a gear. Gave the pump a gentle(ish) tap and voila, it whirred again. When I took the pump apart the carbon brushes were worn to stump. Filed down a replacement set, soldered in place, reassembled and refitted. Job's a goodun (and saved me best part of £250)

    Stickers

True NB, it was more of a question of is there a choice, or are they going to be external stickers only (which I'm not a fan of)?

    Stickers

Top tip NB (although it can depend on the vinyl). Not wishing to rock the boat, but is there an "internal" option for the stickers (ie mirror print), or are they external application only? *ducks just in case*
  12. Fair play. They were a bit full on Jesus style. Now, where's my lippy....
  13. Nice to meet both Mr & Mrs A. Lots of sexy Italian models on show , especially the Lambo Lesbos. Must be something about Sharnbrook, as I have hurty feet too in the shape of two beautiful triangles of red sunburn on the top of each foot
  14. Anyone else's e-mails to Ciro keep bouncing? Looks like it's the field with the funny looking cows for me
  15. My e-mail to him hasn't full on bounced as such, just said there was a delay. Hope it gets there in time, or it's parking in horse-shit field for me, where the cows look at you funny.
  16. (To the tune of Phil Collins' Sussudio) Ve - ve - ve - Vesuvius?
  17. OK, didn't like the sound of the fields out the back , so have registered to "show" meaning we can all park together
  18. p.s. Suggest OP adds event to the Calendar p.p.s. Yeah, took me ages to realise we had one too
  19. I'm a maybe for one of the days, most likely Saturday. It's a 5hr+ drive for me, so it depends whether the old man (who lives in Torquay) is willing/able to let me stay on Fri & Sat and basically ignore him for the w/end
  20. Good to see everyone yesterday (whatever time they pitched up ) and put some faces to names. Shame you left early K9d, but can understand why - hope the family had a good day out. Biggy, are you calling my cousin a Muntant? Sopranofan - you should have said you were going earlier and we would have met you. Did you see a silver/blue 147 parked next to a blue MiTo, parked next to a black 156 SW (near all the GTAs at the top by the cafe)? That were us! http://www.alfadriver.com/forum/index.php/topic/4203-simply-alfa-romeo-beaulieu-motor-museum-sunday-30th-june-2013/page__st__40 Saw one AO sticker, but as that was on LJ's old GTA I think we can forgive him that
  21. You at Bealieu K9d? Leaving car park (LJ had to pay a visit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
