  1. I suspect the Teledials will go back on when I eventually refurb them. However these will be kept for when I eventually sell the car and the Teledials will get sold separately . . . . . Going to get the teles blasted and either re-paint or polish to an aluminium shine like the flat surfaces are on these wheels I just fitted. However - I did notice the Teles markedly heavier to carry and strangely the car now feels more nimble and less lead booted on the road. Or I could be havering . . . . . Pic with Teles attached.
  2. Now fitted. Can't make my mind up though whther I like or not. Just so different tothe Teles. Despite both being 17" these just look smaller somehow . . . . . Have lost centrecaps though so will need to get replacements
  3. Going to put these on my GT while I refurb my teledials (17"). Got these they were a bit knackered, so have spruced them up somewhat. Don't know what they'll look like on the car but I can't help feeling I'm gonna like them and they'll stay on . Sacrilege I know as Alfas generally look best with Alfa wheels. Your opinions sought and appreciated. Pardon the poor mobile phone pic too. I have since wet n'dried them a bit more and re-lacquered them and TBH look the dogs For the record, they came off a GTV and are ET35 so fit just dandy. Also toying with getting new rubber on the Teles once I have dorted them and going up to 225/45 17" and my query is while there is reference to tyre pressures in the manual for these tyres, no variants are actually shown as having them fitted. Anybody running this size and what are the results? Alternatively what are the thoughts with regard to perhaps putting on 205/50 17's to give a bit more sidewall to cushion out our shitty roads??
  4. The side that is clunking was done last year . . . Inner rod joint is the piece other wise known as tie rod or track rod am I correct??
  5. As above free play clonk from o/s steering rack. I fear the worst . . . .tie rods done last year am told it could be a new rack. Although also led to believe it could be bushings within the rack that are worn. Are these replaceable paarts and if so what advice can anyone give? Just couldn't face another big fucking bill . . .
  6. Arseholes with more money than sense. You could have a GTA for each day of the week for what these things cost . . . . .
  7. I saw a Leaf (the first and only one I have seen since the fucking thing was foisted upon a gullible and unsuspecting public) and quite frankly it looked fucking shite. Like some daft rubber dinghy melted a Megane in a hot oven. It was in that finest shade of faggoty blue that all the press cars were in. I can't think of anything worse than fucking shite to describe it and to be frank how it got car of the year is beyond comprehension . . . . . . Plus I'd rather be stuck behind a fucking caravan than one of these abortions trying to achieve 1 mile to the volt Rant over . . . . . . . Please discuss (perhaps less abusively than I. Got carried away . . . .) EDIT BY MORGAN: Replaced misspelling of banned word with "rubber dinghy". Otherwise, all OK.
  8. http://it.finance.yahoo.com/notizie/Fiat-prodotto-Italia-nuovo-trend-1438811361.html?x=0&.v=1 In short:- 4 cylinder, 1.8 litre turbo direct injection. Max power up to 300bhp, usable in either transverse or longitudinal applications, variable valve timing and turbo. from beginning 2013 made in Pratola Serra, Italy EXCLUSIVELY for use in Alfa Romeo vehicles. Just what all the purists have been looking for. Exciting news or what?? )
  9. Tried to do this and it seems stuck in outbox. Presume recipients is full if that happens then?? Good site BTW, and nice to see some of the knowledgeable ones on here too that were banned from AO, which has gone downhill somewhat of late alas. Pity . . . . . .
  10. I had 2 of them (I don't count my last one a P12 2.2 dCi which was a Renault infested pile of shite) Don't have any pictures, but my first one was a P10 2.0eZX saloon in grey (H303CNS - no catalyst or other pish) which was an absolute peach of a car. I later had another P10 2.0eGT hatch (L399XSU) which while not as good as the first one was also a cracker. I wrote it off by driving like a complete fanny . . . . . . . . My Mrs had a 1.6LX (P926EOP) as one of her first company cars too. It handled better than the MK4 Golf GTi that replaced it . . . . . . .
  11. Any chance of the 2 plastic panels that run between the rear seat back and base? Putting a P1 GTV leather interior in my Sprint (eventually) and need these to pad the width out a bit as GTV seats are narrower.
