  1. Yes have software - i found the info re-resistance figures for sensors and solenoids - all the solenoids are ok but only one of the six spare sensors i have was within 20 ohms of the specified 1200 ohms resistance. I have a spare accumulator too - what sort of drop-off time am i looking for to indicate accumulator probs and what indicates a dodgy pump? thanks for your help smaky
  2. does it have to work with Xbox live? My son has one of the older white ones but it wont install the last update for some reason hence is not usable on xbox live, but perfect for everything else, it will be replaced at xmas, but i suspect you can't wait that long anyway
  3. I'm potentially interested, might help sway my ingrained prejudice against Rovers, presumably it will be a weekend thing?
  4. Does anybody know a method of testing the gear selector/clutch rod position sensors whilst they are off the car using a multi-meter. I.E. resistance range or linear graph throughout their movement? I'm having intermittent difficulty selecting gears and have a spare actuator with attached solenoids and sensors that i'd like to test before i swap them over tomorrow. the gearbox has been fine all this week but its due to pack up again. the problem occurs randomly ussually on the upshift to fourth, can't find fourth and then cant find anything and leaves the mrs stranded in traffic sat in neutral. RAC have brought it home 3 times now and a re-calibration and clutch rod adjustment seems to sort it for a while but it is not trust worthy for the 2 hour commute she endures every day. I'm hopeful that i'll find a perished O ring or something equally obvious but would like to rule out the sensors - I have nine of them so should have three working ones!

    Hello everyone

It is, in both infact. the one in the background of the top pic is another cloverleaf which i will be selling on soon (needs clutch and belts doing and some under body treatment) the one in the background of the bottom pic was my partners 1.8 which sold for a measly £310 on ebay to some foreign bloke who knew nothing of what he was getting. such a shame
  9. I think its a combination of the hair and cheesy grin, i dont get the urge to punch him in the face but i really do want to give him a good jab in the eye!

    Hello

Hello Robin! nice to see another (ex)145-er!
  11. Ah ok, does it not reduce the size in forum so you can click on it to view full size? no matter, will just have to start using photobucket again or re-size any pics i want to attach i guess
  12. Firstly, what code do i use to get my signature picture centered? secondly, is there a reason for the pixel size limit for attached pictures? most of mine are within the file size limit but are all too big pixel wise. I thought bandwidth usage is only affected by file size? Great forum so far btw! thanks everyone!
  13. 2k isn't a bad price unless its mint with full service and major bits done recently i.e cam belts and suspension bushes etc

  15. Im new to alfa driver but have been a member of alfa 145.com which is a bril forum and have also been a member on Alfa Owner for a while which is not really as good but owning a 147 selespeed made i necessary. I heard about this site on AO and am hopeful that it will be as good as alfa145.com with the added bonus of tech help where selespeed is concerned. Any way, pics of my beasts:
