  1. Its made a great car even better
  2. i didn't think it would've been to do with them as id spoken to chris during the week & he hadn't said anything about doing another 1. Would you be able to get more any details off the owner like a dyno printout? Im guessing he would've been given something to prove where their money went? The turbo downpipe is also something to consider. Its like hitting a wall straight out of the turbo & fred said to me when i picked it up, and when we were speaking to people at the Ace Cafe tonight, that if i hadn't changed that there is no way that he would have done the same map on it as he did & would've left it at around 270bhp which he feels is a safe level for it with the standard downpipe. He said 300bhp would be achievable still but he wouldn't have done it as theres no way of telling how long it would last. Maybe this proves his point with the Angel tuning? There are also tuners in south africa doing 300bhp remaps & even more torque than mine (theres a video on youtube) so will be interesting to see how they go
  3. Anymore info on that? Just wondered because mine was the 1st & only GQV they have done this work too & i wasn't on the A40 today. I can't really see there being enough time for all that to happen as i picked my car up saturday, if the owner of the car phoned up on monday they wouldn't have started until tuesday. A day to build & fit the exhaust, a day to map it so thats tuesday & wednesday taken care of. Not sure how quickly it can get towed to the nearest dealership (motor village i think?) then for somebody from Alfa to have a look at it & for the owner to be told tough shit but id guess more than a morning. Even if they had a week free to do the work its still pushing it to get all that to happen in that space of time so are you sure it was ProAlfa who supposedly done it? I know they have been really busy all week & i saw chris was still fitting the gearbox to a GTV at 6pm tonight as the clutch didn't turn up until really late. Also all their work, including remaps, is covered by warranty.
  4. i was going to say a lambo but then i saw the 2.5 bit wotcha got then?
  5. here's a couple of video's. Chris and Fred got the 1 on the Dyno and then the other 1 was saturday morning when i picked it up im hoping to get some more at the weekend. just hope its not raining
  6. I get modified car insurance for a reason
  7. Here's some of the photo's i have of it, i still need to get the others off Fred but i got home late from work tonight so haven't had chance to speak to him. He got some videos too Standard dyno run: http://i1002.photobu....a/Standard.jpg Dyno run with map and exhaust http://i1002.photobu....ampexhaust.jpg From the turbo back: http://i1002.photobu....etta/Pic10.jpg http://i1002.photobu....ietta/Pic9.jpg http://i1002.photobu....ietta/Pic8.jpg http://i1002.photobu....ietta/Pic7.jpg http://i1002.photobu....ietta/Pic5.jpg http://i1002.photobu....ietta/Pic3.jpg http://i1002.photobu....ietta/Pic2.jpg
  8. Got some but not sorted them out yet. I think long term it needs silencing a bit as its quite loud at the moment will leave it for a bit though i think & try & drive it quietly
  9. picked it up today and its amazing 301.7bhp & 338.6ft-lb torque its now a stupidly quick car and big thanks to Chris and Fred for doing what they have done to get it like it is. Fred did say theres more to get from it but as the intake temperature was getting high he cut it back to keep it safe so will have to look at a big intercooler for it or WMI to bring them down a bit but for now its more than enough
  10. went round on my way home from work tonight as Fred sent me another pic, this time it was from the dyno printout . it's ready but i was in my work clothes and it was dark and raining so i am picking it up tomorrow. I'll put some pics up and the dyno printouts for it when i get chance but i've got a feeling im going to be out driving all this weekend Its a great job from Fred and the exhaust looks and sounds great
  11. Little update, the exhaust is on, fred sent me some photo's earlier & looks pretty good to me going on the dyno later to get tested
  12. There's a dyno place in the unit next door so anything that gets done can easily be checked to see if its any better/worse by doing certain things
  13. Make sure its a thursday if you do, 2nd thursday of the month if you want to be picky If you do come down its probly better in the summer. Stays light for longer & more exotic stuff turns up & its always busier than cold winter nights, can't understand why that is
  14. Seems weird not having my car outside my house looking foward to picking it up
  15. Yea 14th should have my car back & ready :Big Grin:
  16. next thursday if anyone's up for it :Big Grin:
  17. i like 75's but don't see many around now. they have aged well though and still look great never driven 1 though
  18. Thought i'd start a thread on here about my Giulietta QV as i'm starting to do a few mods to it. I dropped it off earlier today to get things started on it and the 1st couple of bits i'm having done are a custom remap and a new exhaust system put on the car. I'm getting the work done at an Alfa specialist in watford called ProAlfa -Proalfa | Italian Car Specialist in Watford Hertfordshire They are a great bunch of guy's and Chris & Fred are very knowledgable and helpful, its also very handy them being a 5 minute drive from home I started talking to them about stuff i could do to it at Silverstone a couple of weeks ago when a few of us went to watch the last Alfa race of the year (they look after a diesel GT and also a Punto which both done really well) and what started off as a few ideas has now turned into me making the decision to make a start on modding it to see what it can be like with a few changes. I haven't got a timescale of when i want it all done but i've got a few ideas i want to do to it but it depends on time/money i get spare. Not sure when i will have the car back after the 1st bit of work as i said no rush (i only use it at weekends) so hopefully over the next few days i will be able to update this with some more details and photo's of what has been done so far. Can't wait to get it back already

    Hey :) ;)

Either use the tapatalk app on your phone or if you open a photobucket account you can put your photo's on there & then get the link codes from your pics on there, copy/paste them into the reply box & bingo Its easy enough to get the photobucket account & it tells you how to do it on there
