K9d 108 Report post Posted July 20, 2011 The gear stick in my 156 2.4 JTD, wobbles a couple of inches back and forth when in fifth gear, it happens as I lift off the throttle or apply throttle once it has moved it stays there. Hope that makes sense. The car seems to drive fine and it only does this in fifth. Also during the hot weather, if anyone can remember that far back , my gear knob kind of exploded. I got in my very hot car lifted up the collar to put it in reverse and was showered in an explosion of springs, gearknob and collar. One day I will remember to take some glue with me and stick it back together.
