trevb78 5 Report post Posted March 4, 2014 That's the scene.... 😉 I haven't tried to have a tear up with an Aston, but I don't rate my chances! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
MrsAlfa 58 Report post Posted March 4, 2014 I hated that film. What a waste of good cars! How did you get on with the council? Any joy?
Samwilde681 2 Report post Posted March 4, 2014 I was there when they filmed casino royal and they wasted 9 astons. They were imitations either
trevb78 5 Report post Posted March 4, 2014 I believe one of the stunt drivers didn't do too well either. No joy as yet with the council, I think they have a long list of claims at the mo..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
MrsAlfa 58 Report post Posted March 4, 2014 That's terrible. My friend's husband wrecked the alloy on his GT on a pothole. Tried to claim (cost about £1000 cos it did a bit of damage to the suspension too, took a big hole out of the wheel) but the council managed to get themselves out of it. trevb78 5 Report post Posted March 4, 2014 My wheels cost £550 plus vat new too, it all adds up... I'm not holding my breath 😖 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
rvcasa 1 Report post Posted March 5, 2014 (edited) It requires lots of patience and follow ups. Don't just sit back waiting for the payout to show up in your bank account... I got 1200 - 1600 out off council before... It seems it all falls on "how good" your LETTER of DEMAND is! 28 days after my 'demand', I still had to call council's insurer every 3 days or so, until they posted me a check! Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited March 5, 2014 by rvcasa
trevb78 5 Report post Posted March 5, 2014 Thanks for the info. Did you have to fill out forms, or did you cover all in your letter? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
rvcasa 1 Report post Posted March 7, 2014 No forms. When I mentioned (over phone) sending a letter of demand the council put me in direct contact with their insurer/broker. Who sent me a their letter to sign prior to payment. Basically just saying I agreed to settle for the X amount and would not ask for more cash. Only then they post me a check.
