alfaholic 001 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2011 Iv just come across one going very very cheap, its red in colour and its full house, 6speed box, leather interior, sunroof, etc.. According to the lady who is selling it, the cambelt was fitted incorrectly, so my question is: would it bend valves? And what else could also be damaged? And is it costly to repair? Labour is on me, just referring to parts and how big of a job is it??? Thanks
Smaky 73 Report post Posted July 19, 2011 The easiest way to check it out is to fit the cambelt correctly and then run a compression test, if any are low then pray they are in the front bank, but if the valves are bent then it's head off and replace the vales, at least £400 if you DIY. alfaholic 001 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2011 Which is not bad I suppose? In SA currency u pick up a good 2.5 V6 for around R50 000, this 1 is going for R10 000, I think I'm going to take it then
