My alarm on my 156 has decided to start beeping at me more than normal, approx ten secs after cars looked and beep..now is it a fault or is my car just missing me and saying goodbye?? :nonono:

It's saying there is a door open, so:

Turn key to Mar,

Open bonnet,

Take key out,

Press the switch in the bonnet latch ten times till you get a long beep,

Press the button a further 6 times and this puts the system into diagnostic mode,

Open and close each door in turn, each action should cause a small peep from the alarm,

After 2 minutes of no movement the alarm will sound for 2 seconds to let you know it has left diagnostic mode.

Have the same problem with mine but can't get beyond the 10 + 6 presses of the bonnet latch :grr:

Peeps start after 7 or 8 presses, with a longer one after 10. Then it peeps once for each of the 6 extra peeps and almost before I've got time to open the drivers door the alarm sounds for a couple of seconds. Thats it,

It still peeps back after I lock and leave it, like it did before. :cry2:

Do the models or age make a difference, mine's an '03 156 V6 2.5 .

Any ideas welcome
