Alfa156Melb 9 Report post Posted January 23, 2012 I thought I'd throw this out there even though it's not about an Alfa.. sorry... My Dad has a Pajero that he uses about once a month.. it's only used for towing a trailer or big loads.. which pretty much means it's only driven when I'm visiting as I'm the hired help! When the car is used, its hooked up to a 1 ton trailer (empty) on a cold engine, and the moment he leaves the property, he's on an open road.. 100kph. He lives in the bush. So there's no time for a decent warm up. I'm sure that this can't be good for it in the long run.. Can anyone recommend a good oil for this type of work? Maybe an Ester based oil? anyway... im no expert..
Smaky 73 Report post Posted January 23, 2012 Where you are and the conditions your in I'd go with 10w60 fully synth in a diesel? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk! Because I'm on tour!
Alfa156Melb 9 Report post Posted January 23, 2012 Nope, it's a 3.5lt V6 Petrol.. Weather fluctuates from about 30 to 40 degrees C in summer and bloody cold in winter...
Smaky 73 Report post Posted January 23, 2012 I'd still go with that choice.
