Which oil?

Recommended Posts

I thought I'd throw this out there even though it's not about an Alfa.. sorry... :halo:

My Dad has a Pajero that he uses about once a month.. it's only used for towing a trailer or big loads.. which pretty much means it's only driven when I'm visiting as I'm the hired help!

When the car is used, its hooked up to a 1 ton trailer (empty) on a cold engine, and the moment he leaves the property, he's on an open road.. 100kph. He lives in the bush. So there's no time for a decent warm up.

I'm sure that this can't be good for it in the long run.. Can anyone recommend a good oil for this type of work? Maybe an Ester based oil? anyway... im no expert..

Nope, it's a 3.5lt V6 Petrol..

Weather fluctuates from about 30 to 40 degrees C in summer and bloody cold in winter...
