You could always try and find a 164 q4 but think they are all left hookers that's not big enough for the dog but has a good size boot

Yes if he gives them as much grief as his brother has given poor Shaky(in the BSB) this season should be interesting.

Out of curiosity which were better the BOGE (1 piece?) strut or the Spica with insert
The boge are good the only benefit with the others is you can actually change the shock (insert) which gives you a choice to fit konis and a couple of others iirc ?

It should say on the plate under the bonnet .
You normally have a chassis code and a spares code. I think on those there was a cutout type plate on the inner wing . And on the suds the chassis no. Was stamped on the cross bar on the top of the bulkhead between the heater box and the engine bay .

I'm in a mind at the mo to get a little basic cheap as chips cinquecento to run about in and keep the money and spend it on the 164.
To be honest unless you go out of your way where I am to find a decent bit of road you never get above 40 mph so as long as the stereo drowns out the traffic and takes your mind of the stop start boredom it doesn't matter too much.
Mentally you must remind yourself that the accident was not due to yours or anyone else's driving .
Over the years I ve had a few close calls but it was my love of the alfa that got me through.
Try not to mull over it too much .

Never understood the excess its ok if you have a new car as its just a small amount but on the older cars like yours its half the value .
Makes you wonder what they are insuring you for.
I know its a legal requirement but the less you have the more important the small amounts become .not fair

Here is the update on my alfa, I now have all my gears all working, It was the gear lever, a new one in and all is well, or was till a young lad decided to run into the back of me yesterday, hope this helps some one having the same problems. And thanks to all who helped
Does that mean after all that the car has been written off?

Ordered my second headlight for the 164 for the mot and it turned up broken aaaggggrrrr! That's the second one in a row took me months to track them down aswell. Looked like someone had been playing football with the box. It was bubbler wrapped aswell?

I don't think its as bad as it looks it would look ten times better with a clean just very dirty where it's been stood.
