Anybody got one of these gathering dust?
-
Alas it's pouring out the bottom of the pump, so I'm guessing pipe or connection failure
-
Fingers crossed for that then, cheers Smaky

yep i was going to be scrapping it today, but now this one has turned up i will hold on to it till i have had the other one here for a good few days

This is the bit from the description in the Ad All working except power steering I suspect that a hose has burst or pump has failed as it throws the fluid out very quickly

Evening folks After all the trials and tribulations since my twin spark silly speed spat its timing tensioner out. I was looking at being alfaless again, however I have just found a black silly speed that has had a power steering pipe fail, now before EU03TZE goes to be scrapped, how much of the power steering is best to remove, as I don't know exactly where this new (possible) one has failed? Is there a common failure point? Fingers crossed

Hi was just wondering if the JTS sump would fit a twin spark lump, and also would the facelift interior steering wheel be a straight swap?

I feel your pain, my hands look like I have indeed been savaged by a couple of ferrets, now it's dark I'm going to go and clean out the ferrets and get genuinely savaged. -
Yep them bits are out and intact
-
No probs I will grab them tomorrow, and hopefully not break anything, I shall let you know

Cheers Smaky, any recollection of the mileage when it was done -
Hi folks just had a 2003 plate JTS selespeed turn up, not really had much of a chance to poke around yet , but its got the manifold disconnected and apparently the plastic water pipe is cracked. Anybody here previously owned it? Was going to get the battery fully charged and plug in the diagnostics and see what it tells me, although I did reset the fuel cutoff whilst having a rummage.

Hi Folks has anybody out there got either a running 2.0 twinspark, or a complete car that's gathering dust ( my sillyspeed has eaten its timing belt tensioner) Preferably as cheap as possible? So any mot failures/accident damaged/scrapper etc? Or even a 2.5 with a qtronic

Fluid Top Up Opens Cans Of Worms :(
Grimsqueaker replied to Grimsqueaker's topic in Selespeed/Automatic Gearbox Help
Well I still have 3 bottles that I found in the boot of the other half's Saab ( I don't know either ) so that's tonight's job along with my neighbours brake pads and timing belt ( lesson to be learnt, never work on your car outside the front of your house, you will get inundated with favour requests) Cheers Smaky -
Just went to top up the selespeed fluid, and I forgot that the tutela stuff is golden and didnt really think to much when I checked the fluid level, the fluid in the tank is pink, alarm bells went off when the fresh fluid out of the cs bottle was golden.... So if I am to drain and refill what's the quantity I need and any special things to safeguard before I drain it?

Hi Folks Got an odd one here, for the last week or so for the first 500 yards or so after leaving work the sillyspeed misfires then behaves itself, the EML stays off, and it doesn't do it at any other time . Any ideas?

So a false economy then, cheers for the EBay link Smaky
