  8. Hi guys, On payday I am committing myself to giving the car a service as in my eyes it needs one. First of all the Oil, is it worth buying Valvoline 10w40 max life oil? Is this the Alfa OEM spec one. Ovb the Oil Filter & Spark plugs (2 types) and Air Filter. Is it worth buying an induction kit & if so how hard is it to fit? Same goes with the service parts including oil filter, oil sump plug & Spark Plugs? Or if anyone would like to assist early November and help me develop my learning skill I am willing to offer lunch.

  15. Cheers guys for your advice. I was swaying towards option A! Gives me time to save £££ for a decent 2.5 with reasonable milage. Cheers all
  16. Some of you know my Alfa 156 is a little beat up bodywork wise but engine & electrics are all good. I have been debating about modding the car to be honest with you all. The engine has done 114100 miles now and I would call it an over half life engine. The debate in my head is as follows A) spend money on only keeping it in good serviceable condition until the engine gives up, then strip for spares sale & buy a V6 (hopefully the car lasts 13 months). spend money on bodywork, dent removal, spend money on services & Cambelt, spend money on tasteful 'blackout' mods, and when the 2.0TS gives way, buy a V6 & pay a specialist to fit to the 2.0 Shell? What are your thoughts as I am genuinely confused.
  17. Thanks for all your welcome messages! I'm unsure whether I should mod this car. It's done 114000 miles now and bodywork seen better days...
  18. Cheers Sue, was lovely to meet you too and your lovely car, but it's still missing 2 seats! LOL! She ended up getting a lift with her friend home, I got home before her!
  19. I thought you were the 156 killer... Well thanks for making me welcome guys, ur both top blokes even if your 'phones' are well computers!
  20. Lol, I'm sure Alfa were intending to make the 146 1.6 a hybrid, just didn't want to tell the customers!
  21. Howdy all. My names Kev, I'm 23 and from Gloucester. 2 members from here recommended I joined the site as I am from the 'one that shall not be named'.... I own a X plate 156 2.0 TS, bodywork is in naff condition but engine and electrics are sound (forth moment anyway). Here are some pics, Look forward to meeting you all at meets etc... Cheers for reading.
