  1. This is one of those enjoyable cases where I can argue in detail the relative merits of two cars I have never even seen in real life before, let alone driven or (don't make me laugh) owned.

I agree with Munky, that the 959 was extremely accomplished technically, but unfortunately it's hideous looking. All massive fat arsed hanging out the rear uglyness.

The F40 is no E-type Jag in the looks department, but of the two function-over-form eighties ugly uber-cars, it would be my choice.

  2. Red victor 2 is an animal! It was at a run what ya brung day down here a while back and the engineering gone into it blew me away! Andy is also a thoroughly nice chap.

The surface of the airfield it was being run on was so bad he couldnt get any traction at all... so he did an 1/8th mile burnout (it wasnt a 1/4 mile strip) and still recorded the fastest time of the day at just over 7 seconds

    Yep

There was a big article on it in a recent edition of EVO mag. Apparently Vauxhaul have now cottoned onto it, and it's now a semi-official factory skunk-works project.

Still not entirely sure I'd pop down to Tescos in it though, even if it is still street legal!

  3. Just to get the image of a Morris Marina out of my head, I've found a picture of the first BMW I had anything to do with:

An early seventies 3.0S. Owned by my dad for a few years. Obviously the photo isn't the exact one.

I was six or seven at the time, so I can't comment on what it was like to drive ;) Apparently it was a disaster reliability wise. Fuel tank split three times.

    Certainly pretty though..
