They're a strange breed.
£700

Way off
and yes its awful, plus I'm getting no sympathy from Kathy
-
Sadly I may not be around long enough to enjoy the BMW, I have come down with Man Flu, my time is limited.
-
Decision made, just bought this
Its a 2.0 diesel, 6 speed box, dirty but very tidy underneath apart from a small crease on front N/S door. High mileage but no blue smoke.
I'm inviting guesses as to what I've paid.

They would fit, but not sure they would want to
Currently I'm thinking Merc S Class, so many toys
-
Hopefully

As he is obviously too young to use it, his dad and I will have to "test" it for him
-

and this
Think I may have gone away from my original spec

I take you have looked to see if there is anywhere to plug them into.

Nothing wrong with a bit of wood.
I've gone off an X type because of the wood on the dash.

I found this in classic cars
Kathy's exact words "That's not a classic, its a bag of shit"
-
This doesn't really work on the economical or estate front, but it scores massively on the desirability stakes, it looks mint and a rare find.
-
This is very tempting and only 30 miles from me
A few simple fixes to do.
-
If the 156 passes its MOT an XK8 may be back on the cards
-
That will be great for the weekly shop
The test drive in the Merc was funny, the seller was a nervous passenger and what I thought was a pretty steady pace he seemed to think was much too fast, I never went above 70.
-
I saw that and as tempting as it was I don't think it was going to fall into my budget.

Test drove a Mercedes C class Coupe 2.1 diesel today, it was OK but nothing special and certainly wasn't worth replacing the 156 with it.
I'm beginning to wonder if anything will give me the driving pleasure of an Alfa, my 147 beats my 156 is that department but that is probably a combination of a petrol engine and the selespeed.
I like cars that are a bit unrefined, at work we have almost new Fiat Doblo vans and 6 year old Vauxhall Corsa based ones, the Corsas are more fun to drive, they're completely knackered and understeer loads but somehow more fun.
So now I'm even more undecided and leaning towards keeping the 156 and spending a bit of money on it.

Good point

My dumb daughter would do, she had a call from "Microsoft" today, she followed their instructions and went to the web page they said and downloaded the link as instructed and ran it, then surprise surprise her PC was fucked
Luckily Dad came to the rescue and sorted it out for her.
The link sends you here, without the WWW bit, maxspeedingrods.co.uk/high-performance-fiat-lancia-delta-integrale-2-0-16v-4340-en24-chrome-moly-forged-h-beam-connecting-rods-conrod-with-arp-bolts-x4pcs.html#.VB-RQ1OZCUk
I want a max speeding rod

She said "it looks old"
Your second idea appeals to me
Decision Time.

It feels that way, a guy at worked asked me if I was interested, so I jokingly offered £500 he said he could do it for £700, I agreed providing it was tidy. When I went round to see it, I almost snapped his hand off before he changed his mind.
