Water In Diesel Fuel Filter

Hi guys just recently purchased my 2006 147 and when starting up the car the above warning MSG flashes up on the control panel!

 

The car drives grand! Is this something I should be worried about? Is it difficult to change/fix myself? If I had to go to a garage what would the likely approx cost be?

On the base of the diesel filter is a tap, wearing a rubber glove, open the tap to drain out the water, if this fails then the likely cost is probably around £40 to replace the filter, but if your not that worried and the engine is running absoloutely fine just unplug the wire which is connected to the tap, it wont hurt a thing.
