How do you tell which engine is in which 147s? is it age related or model related, does anyone know? obviously we want the most powerful but can only afford a pre face lift

How do you tell which engine is in which 147s? is it age related or model related, does anyone know? obviously we want the most powerful but can only afford a pre face lift 1.9 16V is the one to get in a 147. The 8V was weak and should the belt snap you may aswell write the car off nowadays, the 16V though with the water pump issue, if the belt should snap is no more than 3 hours to repair, the M-jet is a pig, the others had minor chances of blocking the EGR and geting a warning, the M-Jet just does it for fun and though easy to sort it becomes annoying when you hit the 3rd time in a year.
