  1. Had a quick look around and it being my first time using the Multiecuscan(FES) i didnt really know what to look for and its freezing outside so was only a quick look but i found out it have missed the reverse gear 76 times... Would be super if you could tell me some of the parameters to look for and then i could go out and write it down or such
  2. It seems the gearbox is knackered to me? I recently got the odb cable and a laptop with Fiatecuscan so ill go and snoop around later today.
  3. He told me he adjusted the pressure on the pushers. Sadly there are no one else around that know anything about these cars so im sort of stuck... And driving the car to you is sort of a long way :/
  4. If i remember right it crunched before it got really cold too, and it crunches when hot(90c)
  5. Hello. I recently got my Selespeed fixed after a botched job at an alfa garage, everything was done wrong. I took it to a specialist who claims he know selespeed. He has a fair bit of knowledge. They put it all together correct and adjusted everything so that it should work right. After i got it back it sometimes made a crunch noise when changing from 2-3 - 3-2 - 3-4 and 4-3. They took it back and adjusted the pressure on the gears from 3-2 and 2-3 and a littlebit from 4-3 3-4. It still crunches if i dont let the car change down when it wants to and it appears that i cant drive the car in any other way than the way it want without it damaging itself, if i try to change from 4th to 3rd then it has a 50/50 chance of crunching(it seems). He tells me that these cars(selespeed) are supposed to make crunch noises if the gearing is rough, that its nothing to worry about, i believe that is bullshit but then again i cant go and say that right to his face. I spoke to another SS owner i know and he confirmed that his car never crunches. Anyone else have an opinion here and might know what the reason is? Now to the second issue i have. Its winter here in norway now, with -10 and up. Im having issues with the car not wanting to go into reverse, sometimes it tries and makes a noise similiar to what a manual gearbox makes when it wont go into gear, and sometimes it wont even try. It seems if i get the car properly warmed up at 90 degrees(celcius) it works fine. He had no idea what this might be, possible fix was the change the switch(?) under the gearstick, he already checked it but it could be faulty, that was his best guess. Also when the car is cold i get issues with it skipping second gear at first "takeoff" and sometimes when standing still it will go into 4th then third and then second when selecting neutral. I have no idea what could cause any of this. The actuator is brand new! and the gearbox recently fitted with only a couple months of wear(gearbox only 30-40kkm old). Anyone have any ideas to what is causing this? Sincererly, Kristian Lyngaas
  6. ... Just heard back from the third garage we have used. He started to look around and nothing was adjusted, no clutch rod, no calibration... NOTHING! He made all the changes and now it shifts smoothly, just a little slower between first and second gear but he said that could be because it hasnt been used in a while. So the last garage, Autovia(sandvika,Norway) will never get to touch this car again.
  7. I drove the car into the garage and its incredibly jerky. Almost like sitting on the back off a dog humping a leg... I suppose there is alot of small adjustments and such, and now it actually went into reverse on the first try... Would the gearbox act like this? One day bad another day good?
  8. Hopefully it will get picked up today or tomorrow and get fixed. When i try to put it in reverse it makes a very similliar noise to when ur trying to put a manual into a gear but it wont go in.
  9. The gearbox was bought of a private ebay seller, had only gone about 60 000km. It was not reconditioned. But the thing i wanna know is, can a broken gearbox cause all of this? The gearbox has crunched once in reverse and now it wont select it.
  10. I do not know what the mechanic checked on the gearbox. The garage that changed the actuator did adjust the clutch Rod and i would assume they calibrated it.
  11. Hello. I bought a 2002 147 selespeed around easter this year and 3 weeks after i bought it it started getting problems, the last owners had used normal automatic oil in the selespeed system and that broke my old gearbox and probably my actuator. We changed the oil and the gearbox but it still crunched from 3-2 so the mechanic figured it was a damaged actuator as the pump system got it to 55 bar, only issue there was that it dropped to low(below 45). We then had to wait for 9! weeks to get a replacement actuator but in the meantime it seemed the gearbox was damaged by rough gearing on 2nd and 3rd gear. Last week we had a brand new actuator fitted to get rid of any problems in near future. It still made crunching noises when gearing from 3-2 and 2-3 so we figured the gearbox needed changing(again!). When i change down from 3rd to 2nd it would crunch and put the clutch on but not change to neutral. To get it going again i would have to set it into neutral and then select gear 1 after a complete stop. Then one day it worked perfectly, changed down from 3rd to 2nd twice with the car hot(and cold) and no problems. Today with the engine started it will not select reverse and if i try the N will blink. If i only have the ignition on it will go into every gear(up and down) except reverse, if i try reverse it goes into 3rd and if i try again 4th and then back to neutral and into 3rd... The pump runs and primes like normal when i open the door, sometimes 4-5 seconds and sometimes 7+ seconds. I have cleaned the relay. It has enough Tutella oil. On monday i will go back to the garage that fitted the actuator and ask them to fix it, cost free. The gearbox should only be damaged in 3rd and 2nd gear so how could a damaged gearbox cause all of this? Anyone got any ideas? Im running out of sanity when it comes to this car...
