  1. Great idea, congrats to Diablo. What's your AlfaDriver forum name: octinum Whereabouts in the world are you?: Turkey What are you driving these days?: 2000 built Opel Vectra B 2.0 CD A/T How did you find AlfaDriver?: Googling Describe your introduction to the Alfa Romeo brand: Saw a 145 when I was a child. Even a child with imagination can see the difference between an Alfa and the others. Sadly, children with imagination are hard to come by. Outside of Alfa Romeo, what are your interests?: Science, science fiction, bicycles, chess, information technology What do you do for a living?: Currently an R&D Engineer in a company building coaches and buses. Tell us an interesting/crazy/unusual fact about yourself: My wife argues that Sheldon Cooper was inspired from me. I explain her logically that this can't be correct. In any case, we don't have arguments; she does. What's your "special skill"?: I learn fast If money was no object, what four vehicles would be in your dream garage?: - Dream daily driver: Tesla Model S - Dream track car: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X - Dream all-rounder: 156 Sportwagon GTA - Wildcard entry: Toyota Hilux (the invincible ) What are you personally hoping to get out of AlfaDriver?: Just a nice community to share And finally, describe yourself in five words: vi veri veniversum vivus vici
  2. Hey, welcome. I don't even own an Alfa (yet!) but the people here just gave me a warm welcome; I'm sure you'll enjoy hanging around here. Edited for typo.
  3. Thanks for the warm welcome. This seems to be the "Alfa Spirit"; remember the Alfa Romeo Challenge of Top Gear? @mokicat: Yep, its a "GNU Gnu". I'm an engineer and an enthusiast of open source software, hence the avatar. @WTI: Maybe in the future, as the second car. I need cargo space for my activities (do it yourself projects, cycling etc.) so the only valid option is the Sportwagon as the sedan doesn't have folding back seats.
  4. Hi people, I'm new here but I have been an Alfa fan for some time now. I admit I'm not as hardcore as most of you are, not very much into pre-1990's models but I'm seriously considering a 156 Sportwagon Mk. 1 with Selespeed transmission. Since I live in Turkey; where Alfas are not much popular and station wagons are even less popular; wish me luck for a Selespeed one. Anyway, hope to have good time here with you.
