  1. My 147 GTA is apparently a cast-off from a Malaysian importer and is not undersealed as well as the standard UK-spec cars.

Got me thinking, as my 147 was an import through Virgin Cars. I have the original registration document/certificate from Italy, stamped by DVLA when they issued a UK reg no, and the car is RHD. But is the UK spec undersealing more thorough than it would have been for Europe?

  2. I've been thoroughly caning it everywhere, even down the drive, arriving and leaving in clouds of tyre-squealing smoke. Now, magically, my driveshaft and brakes are knackered - surely the two are not connected? :grr:

There, fixed that for you

No seriously, driveshafts shouldn't need replacing at 20k (unless it is massively over-chipped and you have been driving like an idiot) - you don't have to be Mr Smaky to realise that. Hope you find the root-cause and it doesn't cost an arm/leg to get it sorted.

  3. Devil's in the details...

    Sunday 11th August 2013, Postcode: ME4 4TE

Non AROC members in an Alfa pay £11.50 per person. AROC members pay £8.00 per person, standard (non-Alfa anything) entrance is £17.50 per person.

    More details here: http://www.aroc-uk.c...tional-alfa-day

Would be up for that, as it would be great to see where my Grandfather plied his trade.

  4. Euw, No Kiss is pants.

The Phaeton, however, It's so amazing what you can find if you look hard enough

Agree, Kiss is pants, but I wouldn't have thought that VW had the average Kiss listener in mind when designing the car. It was the juxtaposition that amused me, like if a fully modded Saxo was tuned to R4. :D

  5. Am sure this was mentioned in another thread somewhere (Bigdar's thread about dodgy pubs in Southampton?), but thought it should be a separate topic.
