£590 + VAT Phase sensor + cambelt + Variator! Outward the cost of the car as I paid £475. It's not worth it so it!

HELP!!!!!! Car runs and plan to take it back on M5, keeping below 3,000rpm so around 65mph! I can't see why it won't it made it down here. If it does need cam, Variator drive belt etc then I'd rather Pete do the work than a non Alfa specialist.

In garage @ Paignton, quoted 6 hours work to change the Cam Positioning sensor.... Err Cloverleaf quoted 1 hours work. Someone help me out?

When I said the symptoms straight away he said cam sensor, and ok labour charge for 1 hour is a lil steep but at least it's going to a specialists! The recovery bloke said yesterday my Spark plugs are in good nick so I won't change those!
