As above free play clonk from o/s steering rack. I fear the worst . . . .tie rods done last year am told it could be a new rack. Although also led to believe it could be bushings within the rack that are worn. Are these replaceable paarts and if so what advice can anyone give? Just couldn't face another big fucking bill . . .

I saw a Leaf (the first and only one I have seen since the fucking thing was foisted upon a gullible and unsuspecting public) and quite frankly it looked fucking shite. Like some daft rubber dinghy melted a Megane in a hot oven. It was in that finest shade of faggoty blue that all the press cars were in. I can't think of anything worse than fucking shite to describe it and to be frank how it got car of the year is beyond comprehension

I had 2 of them (I don't count my last one a P12 2.2 dCi which was a Renault infested pile of shite)
Don't have any pictures, but my first one was a P10 2.0eZX saloon in grey (H303CNS - no catalyst or other pish) which was an absolute peach of a car. I later had another P10 2.0eGT hatch (L399XSU) which while not as good as the first one was also a cracker. I wrote it off by driving like a complete fanny . . . . . . . .
My Mrs had a 1.6LX (P926EOP) as one of her first company cars too. It handled better than the MK4 Golf GTi that replaced it . . . . . . .

Any chance of the 2 plastic panels that run between the rear seat back and base? Putting a P1 GTV leather interior in my Sprint (eventually) and need these to pad the width out a bit as GTV seats are narrower.

The side that is clunking was done last year . . . Inner rod joint is the piece other wise known as tie rod or track rod am I correct??
